The worst food and experience ever.. We had been to this outlet yesterday for dinner and ofcourse like many other we went in to give it a try based on the reviews and the hype it holds..

But to our dismay it wasn't anything to what we read and had expected.. The place was overcrowded.. with no proper spacing of tables.. Food was an utter disappointment.. it certainly didn't have anything that your taste buds would get blown away with..

The price doesn't match to the quality of food..also the behaviour of the staff is truly unprofessional. Even though the food is unlimited it depends on the customer's appetite and choice to what they want and how many a times.. but the staff here they forcefully and repeatedly serve the same food despite saying a 'NO'. This...i think is not only unprofessional but also demonstrates poor civic sense where in they waste food in large quantity..

Would like to highlight two more things.. rather the most important ones..which was a cherry on the cake to our terrible and unforgettable experience..

There was a hair strand found in the food nicely floating.. to when addressed the staff just smiled and said sorry.. there wasn't any further step taken on that.. I mean people just think.. they are charging high 750 per thali, serving comfort food like roti bhindi alu ki sabzi.. nothing fancy neither extraordinary.. no hygiene.. would you like to have such a Maharaja/ Royal experience?? Think before you invest .. it's not only the money but your valuable time and also your experience..

Last but not the least.. such a big name.. but guess what they Just have one restroom.. so again.. not only Maharaja Bhog disappoints you with all the above mentioned things but also this one.. be it emergency or anything to have to wait in a queue for your turn.. Will try to forget this whole experience as a nightmare..

This place doesn't deserve a...

Restaurant is located on juhu tara road opposite juhu beach. However sea view is blocked due to few construction projects.

Well known for gujarati/marwadi/rajasthani thali.

Pros: good food, decent ambience, quick service, polite & attentive staff. Paan served at the end of the meal was superb. So was the saffron infused/flavoured welcome drink. Undhiyu and desserts were prepared nicely. Instead of daal bati churma they served daal pakwan. At their malad outlet which i had been to few months back, they had served daal dhokli. Both these dishes were not authentic but were freshly made and tasted great. The server brings both sweet as well as spicy daal & kadhi together so wait time is reduced.

Cons: very expensive thali, mis- match between pricing and offering. Inspite of charging a bomb, the thali price does not include bottled water (bisleri/aquafina). Food was tasty but menu was not that great. On a sunday afternoon they served dry potato bhaji, chhole & gravy paneer in a thali which costs approx rs 800/-. The potato bhaji was of the type one prepares when there is nothing else available in the kitchen but something needs to be put up on the table quickly.

They take kid friendliness too seriously. The kids occupying the table behind me were creating a ruckus but none of the wait staff requested either the kids to calm down or requested the adults who accompanied them to look after those kids. If you don't want to tell the guests directly then atleast display a notice prominently in the restaurant asking parents to control kids in case they get too noisy or unruly.

Finally, please dont serve potato bhaji and bengali sweet in a gujarati/rajasthani thali. You are cutting corners after charging a bomb from the customer.

Malad outlet is slightly better than this one. Food taste at both the...

When it comes to Unlimited Thali Rajashthani & Gujrati food MAHARAJA bhog pops in my mind on top!!

This place is located Very much nearby to Juhu beach which makes it super easy to locate.

We went there during weekdays Lunch time and It was almost full keeping covid guidelines which was the best and safe part.

Food varities here is the USP of this place and It was too much!

They have unlimited thali options and during our visit

Starters: Khaman dhokla and Batata vada was served and It was one softest, spongy Khaman dhokla i had and chutney were like cherry on the cake.

Batata vada was also extremely flavourful.

In Mains: Varities were too much Paneer jalfrezy: This was the best out of all and succulent paneer cubes with medium spicy gravy was enough to satisfy my tastebuds.

Aalloo mutter: This was again perfectly cooked and flavours were bursting all over.

Rajashthani gatte ki sabji: Gatta was soft and fresh and gravy was a bit salty as per my taste so It was okies for me.

Dal baati churma: I loved every bite of this, The baati were crisp to perfection and flavour of dal was subtle and they topped it with tons of ghee so nothing like it and I am a big churma Fan and they didn't disappoint me here.

Rice, Khichdi, Sevai onion pulao,:

Their pulao was the mind blowing and almost like Biryani because of spices. It was the perfect combination with boondi raitha and I cherished every bite of it.

Aamras : This was the highlight of my visit and I couldn't count how many bowl I slurpped during my entire Lunch and It was heavenly!!

There were some more dessert options they had and were Too yumm to handle.

The menu keeps on changing and best time to visit them Is during mango season!!

This place should be in must visit place if you looking for Perfect Rajasthani and...

If you love Rajasthani food & thalis, I bet, Maharaja Bhog is one of the finest dining experiences you'll ever have! With quaint ambience, soothing Indian music & courteous and homely staff, this place is definitely the one you should visit in Mumbai. Here's what I loved about the thali here: The very first thing is they give a super royal treatment! There's welcome drink to begin with i.e. aam panna. Then they started with small sides like chatpata chana, lemon slice, chutneys. - Ring dhokla: Was yummy and a bit on the sweeter side, with coconut chutney on the top! - Rajasthani mirchiwada: Superb! Mirchi stuffed with Rajasthani masala for that zingy taste! - Daal baati: Crunchy baati with a little spicy yet supeeeer delish dal with ghee on top is the best thing you'll have here. Don't forget the churma which is the perfect amount of crumbly sweet affair! - There were 4 sabzi's overall, which were: one green sabzi, paneer sabzi, aloo tamatar ki sabzi & gatte ki sabzi. - 5 types of fulkas topped with makkhan & jaggery. YUMMMM! - Kadhi & Dal, 2 types each, sweet & spicy. Both were supeeeerbbbbb! - Crunchy papad - Gheewar was legit dropping gheeeee and it was sooooo amazing! Best thing ever - Basundi was just the right amount of sweet. Sluuurpppp - There was a halwa which was best of all, which I couldn't remember the name. It was made up of tonssss of ghee & carrot. - 2 types of rice, one was flavored & other was plain. Great ending to an amazing meal. - How can we forget desserts? There was a meetha paan reserved for your taste buds! - Not to forget, the buttermilk was kickass! I legit had multiple refills :p Overall, my experience over here was totally worth it! Amazing food, nice ambience, homely staff & royal treatment. What else do we need! :D

Maharaja Bhog. "Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper. Whoever you are, you deserve to have a royal meal " Maharaja in English means the king and Maharaja bhog certainly lives up to it's brand name, serving and treating their guest nothing less than a Maharaja or Maharani. I have been a regular dinner at this outlet located near the Juhu beach. Maharaja Bhog as a brand has always been the Kapoor khaandans favorite place as and when they want to enjoy a proper Rajasthani thali. My mom loves this place to the extent that whenever anyone says " let's go out to eat " she instantly replies " Let's go to Maharaja Bhog and have the thali ". So I recently visited Maharaja Bhog with my mom, The Manager Bhavesh Singh welcomed me with a bright smile on his face. That was a perfect start to the meal. As soon as you settle down you first have to wash your hands and then the empty thali comes to your table. Then one by one you are served food in small quantity so that you each hot food. The menu is different everyday. The menu when I went was as follows First you are served with farsan. - Hara Bhara Tikki - Sandwich Dhokla - Dal Pakwan Tadka. Then you are served with 4 different vegetables. - Palak Corn Paneer - Kaju Kanda Karela - Aloo Goanese - Moong Muthiya. Two types of Dal/Kadhi - Rajathani Dal / kadhi - Gujrati Dal / kadhi Three different types of Roti - Fulka - Mix Veg Paneer Paratha - Plain Puri. Rice - Steam Rice - Khichdi. Sweets - Chawali Dal Halwa - Rose Basundi. I would like to thank everyone who hosted me at Maharaja Bhog and I would also like to thank the founder Ashish Maheshwari for a lovely meal. Shall visit you'll super soon to binge on new variety and yummies.
