Had an absolutely HORRIBLE experience at Mercii - Specially due to the floor manager Edward, the Food was absolutely subpar, overpriced and they had terrible service and hospitality
First off they claim to be a Peruvian place but most of their menu consisted of Indianized Pizzas and Pastas - how exactly is this Peruvian? The menu seems like a mash up of many different unrelated cuisines - essentially just consisting of things that will 'sell' to the mass market
From the dishes we ordered most of them were extremely disappointing if not abysmal - The lobster noir was disgraceful in quantity - you could maybe get 3 bites from it for a dish that was priced at 3k+ - it was beyond comical and extremely disappointing if you compare them to places of similar standing. The Velour Lamb chops were super basic in taste and had no accompaniments to them. The Pizza's tasted like something my 12 year old niece could whip up in her free time and the WORST were the cocktails - they were super WATERED DOWN and served intentionally in the smallest cocktails glasses I've seen in a long time - it seems like they've mastered the art of cutting corners at every turn - food or drink wise
On top of that we were even promised a desert since it was my friends birthday - However we never even received that and were asked to leave the premises prematurely for no substantial reason - this apparent manager called Edward was the Rudest and most hostile manager who asked us to leave prematurely with no rhyme or reason - he even went to the extent of getting physical and snatching a drink out of my friends hand and even asked the bouncers to escort us out - when we asked him for a reason or for this in writing he had absolutely no response and looked dumbfounded- he was completely unreasonable, inhospitable and had no business working in the service sector
He even went on to confiscate my friends private property and NEVER returned it back to him - which literally amounts to THEFT - and then he tried to intimidate us by asking his bouncers to literally stand right behind our table for no substantial reason - its absolutely bizarre that this place is termed as a 'fine dining' restaurant
Also the dessert promised to us was later DUBIOUSLY added to the final bill even when we NEVER received it - and we had to again waste time getting them to remove it from the final bill
Overall it was an absolute abysmal experience - which even explains why they were almost EMPTY on a Saturday evening
It seems like everyone from the receptionist to the servers and even the floor managers need to be retrained -that is if they have any training at all - Even while trying to reserve a table - it took me over 3 phone calls to get in touch with them and reserve a table and interestingly when we showed up to the restaurant - they had NO RESERVATION under my name? (we were let in anyways since the place was empty)
The Bad reviews under here says it all - This place is NOT professionally run or managed - it has no systems, no processes, no written rules - the place is run on the whims and fancies of the apparent 'floor managers' who are allowed to come up with arbitrary rules at any given point of time. Overpriced food, subpar service and...
Read moreMercii is a high-end European & modern‑global fine dining restaurant in Santacruz (West), backed by Arpita Khan Sharma. The name “Mercii” (French for “thank you”) reflects a philosophy of gratitude, hospitality, and treating guests with warmth rather than cold luxury. The brand positioning is clearly premium & aspirational - it's meant to be more than just food — a full immersive dining experience. One of the standout features is the artificial skylight ceiling - during the day, it simulates soft sunlight and at night, it shifts into a starry sky/ambient skyscape. The interiors are luxurious and ornate - plush seating, rich textures, elegant lighting, jharokha (lattice) motifs, and private alcoves or “VIP room” that can host small groups upto 30 guests. The design attempts to balance regal elegance and vibrant nightlife energy, not just static “luxury.” Overall, the ambience is crafted to wow — it’s meant for special occasions, dates, or high-end dinners. The kitchen is led by Group Culinary Director Dennis Koll, whose background and experience bring a refined European / global sensibility to the menu. The menu is ambitious — it offers European core (Italian, French etc.) with influences and creative fusions. Many dishes include theatrical or tableside finishing touches to elevate the experience. Some Standouts are • Crimson & Green (salad) • Furi Spice Rolls (sushi) • Edamame Ricotta Gyoza (small plate) • Rosette Ravioli (large plate) • The Pear (dessert) The bar is a focal point. Read moreIf you're looking for a place that serves both classic and stylish European dishes, Mercii is a must-visit and the perfect fit for your expectations. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with an ambiance that made you feel like you were dining in the heart of Europe. Here’s a breakdown of our experience.
Appetizers: We began our meal with two standout appetizers. First, the avocado mash with tortilla chips was a refreshing take on the classic guacamole. The creamy avocado was perfectly balanced with the crisp, crunchy chips—a simple but delightful start.
Next, we tried the chicken rolls, a dish that consisted of grilled green asparagus wrapped in smoked chicken breast. The smokiness of the chicken paired beautifully with the tender asparagus, creating a harmonious flavor profile.
Cocktails: As for the cocktails, we were thrilled to try the Flower Power, a refreshing concoction that blended elderflower liqueur and Grey Goose vodka with fresh watermelon and orange. The combination was both light and flavorful—perfect for setting the tone of the evening.
Mocktails Mint berry Mash- It had raspberry, blueberry and mint agave with the nectar of the fizz which gave a perfect delightful flavour to my taste buds and refreshing at the same time.
Main Course: For the main course, we opted for the Rigatoni Arrabbiata, a classic pasta dish with a spicy twist. The rich, tomato-based sauce was perfectly spiced, and the rigatoni had just the right amount of bite. It was a satisfying and bold dish that paired wonderfully with our earlier cocktails.
Dessert Crunchy chocolate Mousse- They prepared it in front of us and it was absolutely outstanding and perfectly balanced flavours of chocolate and ice cream in it. Absolutely relished it.
Overall Experience: From start to finish, the meal was a delightful exploration of European flavors, with each dish thoughtfully prepared and presented. The restaurant brings together the best of classic European cuisine with a modern flair, making it the perfect destination for those seeking a sophisticated yet approachable dining experience. Highly...
