When you’re in a new city, sometimes the simple pleasure you get from a good cup of coffee — the kind you’d get from your local cafe that you go back to time and time again because it really hits the spot, is all you need to reset before you carry on exploring.
But as we all know, trying a new joint can be a huge hit or a miss!
Well, I saw this cute little cafe down the road from my grandmother’s apartment… and being an inquisitive foodie, I thought I’d give it a shot.
I took one sip of their cappuccino and my soul almost left my body 😍😍😍
Along with the coffee I opted for their Passionfruit Bowl which consisted of greek yogurt married with almonds, walnuts, goji berries, dried apricots and of course — zingy passionfruit.
I’m flying home tomorrow… but I’m gonna TRY to visit them again for their deliciously described pizzas 🤤
Kinda wish I knew about you guys sooner!! @moriicafe
Even their interior design is worth mentioning! It’s such a small and narrow cafe but they’ve really utilised the space and made it feel so chic, spacious and welcoming! I was admiring their semi-transparent roof where you could see the tree branches sway with the breeze. But in the moment of admiration, I forgot to click a pic 🤦🏻♀️
I got there bright and early, and had a little time to myself to journal before the breakfast crowd came through.
A sister of the Boojee Cafe, this hot spot is serving up an array of Western dishes right in the heart of Mumbai. From avo on toast to eggs on sourdough… these guys are putting their own delightful spin on classics.
Look forward to seeing you again! 👀🤞🏼🤤 Location: Mumbai — Bandra West, St John...
Read moreFood wise quite decent we ordered a falafel pita, which was quite nice. So was the coffee and the ice cream sorbet. Aditya was very compassionate in service . However, in our packing order of eggs sourdough dish and aubergine sandwich, he forgot to mark the veg things properly despite requesting several times . Caused the confusion when we came back home to open the package. There was some food photo shoot going on hence the issue perhaps. However why should we not get things correctly. The road to the café is right now totally dug up, which we were not expecting at the moment . With my mom, it was a bit of a hassle to walk up and down the entire road in this heat, as the cars would not come close to the café . However, this must be a temporary thing can be checked before one arrives. For the price paid, I would request slightly larger quantities and also basic hygiene like marking and packaging to be done appropriately, specially when cafe had no major rush of crowds. It was relatively...
Read moreTerrible experience. Morii was far from the "work-friendly" space I was promised. After ordering generously to make my extended stay fair—both to them and my work needs—a rude young man claiming to be the manager curtly demanded I “shut my laptop” because “this is a non-working space.” When I explained that I was explicitly told I could work here and had spent significantly because of this, his attitude remained dismissive, offering no solutions or apologies. Just terribly rude. It’s not just about the rules—it’s the lack of communication, empathy, and basic courtesy. If you charge ₹400-500 for coffee and ₹600 for a slice of toast, the bare minimum is good service. This experience has ruined both Morii (which I would say don't waste your time there, the food is terribly average and clearly the customer service terrible) and my loyalty to Boojee. Their disregard for customer...
