Soon Li — Restaurant in Mumbai

Of late the efficiency of the place is not as it was before. Recently we visited this place for lunch at about 1 pm & we were informed that the Chef cum owner Michael was not available. I requested the staff to call him up to inform that client is at the restaurant. The staff refused to call up and did nothing to inform the chef/owner. We waited for 10-12 minutes & left for another restaurant. Now which restaurant does not have their chef in the kitchen at 1pm which is lunch hour. Another problem that I have faced here is that whenever John the other brother who is at the cash counter always demands to be paid by Cash and not by any online mode. This has led to us having to step out to ATM to get cash for payment. They do not provide proper printed restaurant bills as well. The bill is on a piece of paper with no name of the restaurant & GST details. It does not have even a rubber stamp on it. I am unable to understand why such stubborn attitude. Perhaps they don't need business. Very bad attitude. They need to improve.

I have been visiting this family run business since last 30 years regularly. It is a Chinese restaurant run by Chinese immigrants. Those who have eaten Chinese food in Chinatown (Tangra) in Kolkata will definitely find the similarity in taste. The portion size of the dishes is adequate & it is pocket friendly.
