THE COFFEE DEN — Restaurant in Mumbai

Never would have imagined there would be such a hidden gem in the busy and rowdy streets of Crawford. This place was literally a hole in the wall, and it didn't appear very promising from the outside, especially since it was located in a run-down building, and on the first floor.

But the second we stepped into the cafe, the ambience turned into one of a classic, beloved, family owned cafe. In the middle of a busy weekend, we tried the mocha frappe, the latte, the araggato and some French fries.

The coffee was amazing, though lacking some typical sweetness, which was compensated with the sugars they provided.

There were seculded seating options, like a place you could run away to when the world gets too heavy. The owner was nice, and the servers polite. The place was clean, minimalistic and the music low, so you could study here too.

Would surely be coming back to this reasonably charged,...

Editing my opinion after we went the second time, around 11 and the cafe was barely ready to be open. No music playing, chairs still not set up, and very slow service (it seemed like the waiter was calling sb else for explanation on how to prepare the coffee)

This is such a gem of a place in Vithalwadi, just adjacent to Zaveri Bazar. I reckon this the best coffee place in Marine Lines, ideal for meetings, working or just to hang out. Dhanesh, an expert brewer will customise coffee as per your tastes and likes. I have tried the Lotus Biscoff, which is my favourite.

Among the non-milk ones, I'd suggest Berry Blast, Lime Lemon and Ginger Expresso which we usually not get at the more famous Starbucks and...
