I visited Gulati restaurant, Pandara road with my family on 27th April 2025. I booked a table for four through Zomato app, though I did not make use of the said reservation as the restaurant was kinda empty when we got there. The restaurant opens at about 12 PM and we arrived there by 12:15 PM, so it was kinda empty to begin with, hence the unused reservation on my part. The location, ambience, and vibe of the place is quite nice but I found the restaurant a bit on the smaller, kinda cramped side, as there were too many tables in the place, which is kinda fine I guess. My family and I ordered four veg buffets, we started off with chilli paneer, gol gappas, dahi bhalla, bhalla papdi for starters, these were okay in taste, nothing special about these. The veg main course consisted of dal makhni, a paneer gravy, rajma, kadhi, aloo gravy, and 1-2 more gravies whose names I don't remember. Along with this, we could order whichever bread we wanted, in any quantity we desired. This was paired with veg dum biryani, raita, papad, pickle, sirka pyaaz, and green chutney. The gravies were great in taste, they were smooth, creamy, and rich, I loved them. The breads were cooked to perfection and as for the biryani, it was mid, like it could have been better, but it was fine as the gravies took over the whole scene because they were that good. As for the non-veg gravies, I think 2 were available, butter chicken and maybe a mutton dish whose name I don't know. I did not try any of these two gravies as I am a vegetarian, but they were both good, as per other customers' opinions. This buffet was concluded with multiple delicious desserts, which included- moong dal halwa, two different flavours of ice creams, gulab jamun, mango rabri or something, and jalebis. All these items were good, especially the halwa and jalebis- perfectly sweet and balanced in taste. We also ordered their chai, which was okay in taste but was over-priced. Overall, the food was great, you guys should definitely try this restaurant out.
Now, onto the other aspects of this experience. The servers were attentive, polite, and really nice towards the customers. The ambience was nice, lively, and upbeat. As for the location of this place, it is situated in an area which is surrounded by other famous food outlets as well. The parking is okayish as well, it is quite spacey, but the cars are to be parked on the main road just beyond the service lane.
All in all, good place to have lunch or dinner...

Let’s talk about the experience in detail:
Parking is bit problematic. If you come by your own car, you have to park on road. They charge for 1 hr - 20 Rs, for 2 hrs - 40, and 50 after 2 hrs. Since you will find waiting outside restaurant (minimum half an hour to maximum 1.5 hrs), be ready to shell out 40-50 Rs. for parking on road.
Waiting time is always there. Everyone is anxious to get in but due to the hype they have, there is a long queue of family crowd wanting to have a seat. It varies from 30 mins to 1.5 hrs. If you are a couple, there are high chances of table for 2 getting free early since most people are in groups.
Butter chicken half costs 825 Rs. and full costs 1095 Rs. You get 6 pieces of boneless chicken in half and 12 in full. This is a clever move to convince people to order full because difference in price is not much as compared to chicken you get. We ordered tandoori rotis (plain and butter). Both rotis were not great. Bit undercooked.
Taste: butter chicken tasted good. One could feel butter a lot and it felt heavy but if you have appetite or taste for buttery stuff, this will feel good. But to be frank, being a west Delhi person who had butter chicken outlets at every nook and corner, this was okay not great. Didn’t live upto it’s hype. I have had a lot better rotis at less than half price in most west Delhi restaurants (crisp and thin ones).
Price: we ordered full butter chicken, 2 rotis, and 1 butter roti - it came to 1454 Rs. They do not put service tax, only gst. So this was pleasing to see.
Management: staff at entry was good to talk to. Serving staff was also well behaved. We had manager come to table to enquire about food. There was a feedback form being given. I filled it honestly and received call from manager next day to ask about flaws in food. I appreciate their feedback policy to improve customer satisfaction. Not everybody does that, specially when you have waiting line every single day :)
I would recommend you visit once but make sure you are there by 8 pm to enjoy dinner with less waiting time....
