We were visiting New Delhi and were recommended this restaurant from an online group. It is based on the back part of Connaught Place. I enquired and visited several other restaurants in the vicinity and we decided to dine at Lazeez Affaire. Upon entering the record is grand and well thought out. Especially the lighting. However, this is where it starts and ends. Firstly, we went to the toilets which are upstairs. Not ideal if you have a physical disability. This is also where the bar is located. Upon visiting the toilet upstairs, there were several staff and I noticed the limp plates of salad that were ready to be served. The lettuce was dead and the carrots all shrivelled and dried up. Once back at our table service was extremely slow. We were treated like second class citizens. Unsure if it was due to my Indian attire or that we were two females or any other reason. This level of service remained throughout the night. The cutlery was stained and dirty as were the glasses. But the worst were the napkins. They were grey and washed so much that they were rough on the skin. I didn’t use it. We ordered panner tikka which was okay. Albeit, we were served the shrivelled limp salad that was on display. For mains we ordered a mixed vegetable curry and two garlic naans. Bottled water is Rs. 95.00. The curry was pathetic! What you get on the streets is better. It was bland and flavourless whereby the spices hadn’t even blended or absorbed into the vegetables. The garlic nana was tough as old boots and more like papad rather than a soft fluffy naan. Oh and as mentioned by other diners the staff so seem to think they piss champagne! Unsure why, but their service was nothing to write home about and was almost non- existent! I’m writing this to make other diners aware to not waste your money here and go elsewhere. There the likes of Embassy etc that hopefully are far better! If I could give a...
Read moreAwesome. Magnificent. Grandiose. Palatal extravaganza. Indeed a place to go with families and friends. Seating is absolutely unique with sofa at a low level fixed on the floor. Total seating is around 50. The small eats are just WOW. at the end you will want for more. The portion sizing is great. For a group of 5 or more one should go for the non veg/veg platter, depending on preference. Will cost around 1000. Every penny worth. It's jucy, succulent, divine tasting kebabs which will leave a lingering taste on your tongue. The main course is equally awesome. The mushroom gehlauti, Dahi ke kebab, Chicken chatkara and murgh kali mirch tikka are simply mouthwatering and palate tingling small eats. Tikka butter masala, mutton rara are signature. Matki chicken is served in earthen pot and is a worthy dish. The naan, kulcha, lachcha may appear steeply priced but once you have it- you'll be left speechless craving for one more bite . Overall a 5 🌟 experience. The paan shop located outside the entry is a brilliant add in attraction. Located in posh diplomatic enclave on Malcha Marg, it's easily accessible from Shanti path and Nyaya Marg. One place worth a visit for the gastronomically motivated and once you have food there, your heart will crave for more. The service is smart, the stewards polite and help in choosing menu suiting your taste. If you've not yet, plan it fast. Adding a couple more dishes - mutton Barra and laal maans. Try the churchure naan too. They are simply exotic and leaves a unforgettable taste where it matters !!!! 😄
Amazing!! Amazing experience!! Every time I visit the place. The chefs are probably the best in Delhi , fishing out such delectable...
