Few things before I want to add my review, just look at the pictures look at the quality of things provided here. This is Sandoz. We are talking about a place which I am always so fond of. They got three outlets in cp and I’ve tried the other two, this was my third time eating it. Sandoz CP and this was at Shivaji Stadium branch. This is the second oldest branch of Santos , to start with the person who entered us who made us get a table was so rude I can’t even define. He said the water bottle that I was carrying, a small water bottle was not allowed, even though I requested since i was with a small child, he did not allow it till the time the manager intervene and said okay fine you can keep it inside the purse you know, even Pvr allow bottles Nowadays. The moment I entered, they made us sit on the first floor, which was heavily Without Ac, very very hot on our specific request, the switched on the AC. The waiter is very rude. They did not serve us food with heart. The starter came the last , there is no bowl given when we asked for it, we were four people They gave us only two bowls to get the daal. The lemon was all bad look at the pic. What can I say we paid some ₹1900 for something which was neither tasty and even taste doesn’t matter if the person on the other side of the table is courtious and willing to extend their service with full hearts. Apparently, this is the first time I am experiencing this kind of service levels at SandozCP, the other two branches are still better, but I guess the Shivaji Stadium Sandoz branch is ruining the experience for all of us so lesson learnt is better to cook at home and than go out and eat this food instead of getting it served at an expensive place where we are even paying yet people feel that they are serving us free Food . would like to add the Dal Makhani was extremely runny and thin. There was no gravy or there was no creamy ness to it. This is not the standard Dal Makhani of Sandoz and I should add there was a constant Ring which was a bell that was ringing very loudly that indicated the Zomato orders for the restaurant, they were more Keen to take to the Zomato order, and that is the reason I guess the food quality was very very very bad. So please don’t go. It’s just like you’re eating anything at any roadside restaurant Thela wala is giving better service nowadays than the people at Sandoz Shivaji stadium and my again to add The person standing outside the gate on Saturday night, where there is a maximum entry of people was very rude, very unfriendly and a person with whom you interacted, you would lose all your...
Read moreI visited Sandoz at Connaught Place (Shivaji Stadium) for the first time, expecting a decent experience. I kept it simple and ordered the basics—the kind of dishes that are usually hard to get wrong. Unfortunately, thanks to their kitchen, the experience turned out to be quite ordinary.
Butter Chicken (Boneless) Served in a ceramic handi, it looked visually pleasing at first glance. Sadly, that’s where the positives ended. The gravy was bland, with zero aroma, leaning towards a slightly sweet profile. The masalas weren’t blended well, leaving an unfinished taste instead of a cohesive, flavoursome curry.
Keema Mutton (Handi) This dish was a bigger disappointment. The keema flavour was lost in the gravy, and the spice level was so mild that it failed to even register a hint of chilli. The mutton pieces were unevenly cut, and once again, there was no aroma to lift the dish. For something that carries the name “Handi Mutton,” you expect boldness and depth of flavour. What arrived was below average.
Saving Grace – Chilli Mushrooms This was the only dish that stood out. Perhaps their Chinese offerings are more reliable than their North Indian classics. Regulars might be able to vouch better, but in my case, the Chilli Mushrooms were the only relief.
Service Despite 9 waiters and a supervisor being present, service was indifferent. I waited 15 minutes before anyone attended to me, despite having a pre-decided order ready. It then took 20 minutes for the first dish to arrive, and the rest followed five minutes later. By the time I asked for the second round of rotis (well in advance), they appeared after 20 more minutes—when the rest of the food had already gone cold.
Atmosphere The décor is nice and the music is subtle, not overpowering. But the experience is soured when trays of dirty plates with leftover food are carried right through the centre of the dining area.
Overall Impression Sandoz seems to thrive more on brand recall than on quality. Their outlets are everywhere in Delhi, so the name stays in people’s minds as a convenient option. But when it comes to actual food and service, the experience ranges from average to below average.
Verdict: Delhi is a food paradise with countless flavourful options. If you’re looking for memorable food and attentive service, Sandoz CP is not the...
Read moreWe visited this Sandoz location on a Saturday evening. We were seated promptly.
We ordered Kadhai Chicken, roomali rotis and butter naans. The chicken was quite delicious and the portion was good enough for 2 people. The rotis and naans were the usual.
The service was prompt, and they kept checking on us about the food. At the end of the meal, while providing us the bill, the waiter for some reason kept insisting us to add the tip. It just felt quite awkward, and kind of ruined the experience of the meal despite the food tasting pretty good. Better customer service skills would go a long way at this Sandoz location.
The seating is spread out across two levels—ground floor and the first floor. The walls have these huge portraits of royal people from the past, which provides a heritage vibe to this place. There is a restroom on the ground floor, which wasn’t exactly very clean. Their menu is quite extensive and most dishes looked pretty appetising. They’ve soups ranging from the simple tomato soup to vegetarian and non-vegetarian manchow soup, North Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian starters including rolls, North Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian main courses, Biryanis and Indo-Chinese dishes. The mocktails and beverages complement the food menu pretty well.
This Sandoz location is in front of Lady Hardinge Medical College, which can give you an idea of its whereabouts. The prices are quite reasonable.
I might visit this location again, though I’m not very keen considering the deficient...
