One of the most loved brands in Delhi, punjabi by nature served north Indian, mughlai and modern Indian cuisine. It's the first outlet of PBN that I visited and absolutely fell in love with the ambience. Had trouble with my booking, the staff had no record of my booking done through Zomato whereas it was confirmed. I came to celebrate my parents anniversary and requested for the round table beautiful seating, but were given the regular seating without much consideration. Later did they adhere to our request and sent us to the round table seating. All thanks to Mr. Jeet Rawat for taking the request into consideration.
AMBIENCE The ambience is literally lit, like you see bulbs everywhere. Ceiling is barely visible as it's covered with plethora of yellow light bulbs arranged in an array. The entrance waiting area is beautiful, has mirror work on the wall, bouquets of flowers and the line lights. The seating is regular at the entry hall, but in the second hall next to bar counter, it has round table seating along with regular seating joined with the wall. The walls showcase a variety of work, wooden, exposed brick finish and couch like. Seating is comfortable and couch or cushion base based. The music played is good and overall appeal is Cozy.
FOOD °5 mushroom galouti kebab° I love mushroom and galouti kebab, but this preparation turned out average. The melting in mouth softness and juicyness was missing. The taste was average and towards more salty side, probably the 5 mushroom mix didn't render a delicious blend. I have had mushroom galouti before at other brands and hence know they could make it way better. Was served on samosa crust.
°Trio of paneer Kulcha° So this was minced and spiced paneer in kulcha pockets, served on an achari bed. Without the Achar touch, the dish turned out essentially bland. The spice mix didn't help much and veggie mix was also little.
°Dal makhni° The savior for the night, the dal Makhni was authentic, cooked well and with apt consistency. The spice level was to my exact liking.
°Paneer masala lahori° It was more or less like kadhai paneer only, just bit more on gravy, semi dry to be precise. The taste and quantity was good.
°Tandoori roti° Never seen such massive rotis, with 130 bucks per roti, the size and crispiness was well justified. It was mentioned to them to make it Crisp, good that PBN serves roti as per requirement.
°Gulab jamun cheesecake° The ending was a highlight, probably the only modern Indian dish I could try. Tiny gulab jamuns in good number placed in the cheesecake matrix, both right in texture and apt in sweetness. Presentation could have been better for such a fancy dessert.
SERVICE and COSTING Costing is towards higher expensive side. Service is very good, staff is good in number and with etiquettes. They welcomed us with joined hands and ensured us a...
Read moreI recently visited Punjab by Nature at Ambience Mall, and it turned out to be a pretty average culinary experience, mainly due service and below average vibes of the place.
✅ What stood out:
Food: From the melt-in-the-mouth Tandoori Chicken Tikka to the perfectly spiced Tandoori Chicken, every dish felt thoughtfully prepared. The breads, especially the stuffed naans, were soft and fresh. Portions were generous, staying true to Punjabi hospitality.
❌ Not upto Mark :
Service : Below average service, zero in terms of hospitality, order took 25 mins to be served on table, once I got the wrong order the server told I will get you the correct order till then you have this on the house from my end, then came back in couple of mins to say I will take this back. Finally the correct dish arrived after 25 mins, the LIT took ages to be served.
Ambience : Their chair sitting was pathetic, not comfortable at all, low cooling AC though the restaurant wasn’t completely occupied, they badly need to do something about the quality of the fragrance of the restaurant, it doesn’t smell good at all
📌 Things to keep in mind: It can get crowded during weekends, making a reservation is a good idea. Prices are on the higher side, not justified by the quality, and overall experience.
Final Verdict : There are much much better places to spend your...
