I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sagar Ratna Restaurant, a popular South Indian restaurant located in my city. I had heard great things about the food and atmosphere, and I was excited to try it out for myself. I must say, I was not disappointed.

The restaurant has a warm and inviting ambiance, with traditional South Indian decor that adds to the overall dining experience. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.

Now, let's talk about the food. As a lover of South Indian cuisine, I was impressed with the variety and authenticity of the dishes served at Sagar Ratna. From dosas to idlis to uttapams, everything was cooked to perfection and had the perfect balance of flavors. The sambar and chutneys were also delicious and complemented the dishes perfectly.

One dish that stood out to me was the masala dosa. It was crispy, perfectly filled with a flavorful potato filling, and served with a generous amount of chutney and sambar. I also tried their filter coffee, which was a great way to end the meal.

The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were reasonable, making it a great value for money. The restaurant also offers a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, catering to a...

After a walk from a nearby hotel and some shopping we were ready for dinner. Although busy, the restaurant is big and could easily sit us immediately. Really good food and service that OK and little chaotic at some times as the staff kept on changing who serviced us. Madras Idli Fries - deep fried idlis coated with gun powder chutney. Kids loved them and so did we. Plain idlis are so meh, but these were a blowout Special Tandoori Platter - was so good we had to order three of them. And all of them were gone in a jiffy. I guessed we were hungry as well. But each item on it was amazing. The veggies, soya tikaa chaap, paneer and kabab. Rava Paneer and vegan Rava Masala Dosa (my fav) were on spot. Crunchy dosa, good chutneys and amazing sambhar. The Deluxe Thaali and Sagar Special Thali - with pooris and naan. One with Sputh Indian Curries and with North Indian curries. Both delicious. Nice way to combine so many different curries in plate (thaali). The filter coffee had by the family well enjoyed. The star - Mysore Paak one version made entirely in peanut oil rather desi ghee - making it vegan. So if you are one, do try. I think this was better than the one made in desi ghee.
