When it comes to Khan Market, A Posch locale, High-end brands, Elite Class and some Explicit Eat Out options comes in the mind. The Middle lane of this Sophisticated locality is popular for it's not so formal food houses that are perfect to catch up with friends and family over some casual and formal chatters.
Just at the beginning of the Middle Lane, lies this Irish Restro, The Chatter House. The stairs from the ground level takes you to a two floored Red-Brick European pub lobby that offers a lively place to connect with friends, have lively conversations and have a good time. A descent stocked bar is located on the right wall, with busy bartenders muddling and puddling some LITand Sparkling drinks. You will immediately feel comfortable as this place brakes the mundane of urban culture with it's newspaper and rustic frames on the walls, patio ball lights, round and Big Lit windows at the end of the lobby. The second floor is more of patio lounge that has an open front porch with an access to use it for smoking or hanging out.
Coming back to the grub, the in-house specialities welcomes you with scrumptious and eye-catchy platters and sparkling radiant drinks in an ambiance that let you relax and spend quality time with your friends. You will have an Open house to choose from variety of Italian, Mexican and Indian fusions that makes the transit to a next level. To start our Brunch session, we settled ourselves on their first floor at a corner table, next to the staircase. Being a weekday even, the place was housefull and we were lucky to get the seats within any waiting.
Garden of Dreams: To get over Monday's blue this sublime concussion of Rose Wine, sweet sour mix and fresh Rosemary twig LIT on fire on a fresh cherry to add that zing and flavor to your drink. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ✌️.
High on a Heel: This beautiful Rosy red drink vows you fun and high with the muddled combination of Vodka, fresh watermelon and fresh cucumber. We ordered few more Mocktails to go along with the main course, which were witty and refreshing.
Spiced Charmer: Is indeed a zingy spiced guava drink that is my all time favorite. It really pulled up to the shoes of the place and A MUST TRY 👌
Tropical Lemonade: The refreshing flavors of this fruity lemonade helps you to clean your palate and balance the flavors.
Peri-Peri chicken roulade: To start the course, this Birds eye Chilli and olive rolled in small chicken breast and served with homemade sun dried tomato pesto was a Kickstarter.
Almond Citrus salad: To cut the heat, we digged in this vibrant, crunchy Valencia orange, salad greens, Fetta and tossed almond drenched in cider vinegratte. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ✌️
Hummus Pita twin chicken: The name itself was so interesting and it did standout to its name. Garlic flavored Hummus and yellow squash hummus served with chicken shish taouk skewers, housemade pita bread and mukhalal.
Butter chicken pizza: The House Speciality extremely thin Multigrain base topped with Rich Makhani sauce, melt-in cheese and Flavorsome Chicken tikka chunks.
Before going straight to main course we wanted to settle in with some light soups and we ordered Tomato Basil and Burned Garlic soups. Both were light classy ovenly tossed and roasted flavors and refreshing to the palate.
Blue cheese Naan with Dal Makhni shots: This was a unique, first heard and tried platter of Blue cheese stuffed mini naans, pineapple chutney along with Dal Makhni shots.
TCH special Shepherd pie: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ✌️ A Rustic Lamb ragout finished in red wine topped with garlic mashed Dutch potatoes peaks charred served with garlic bread. This is a rustic and lovely dish
Desserts: With no more room left, we still ordered and shared their bestseller dessert.
Gulab Jamun cheesecake: This Delish Fusion of Indian Gulabjamun with Cheesecake and drizzled with candid sugar syrup is A Guilty Indulgence, but who gonna watch out calories for this sheer temptations. Sinful...
Read moreWe went to the chatter house in the khan market on 7th august to celebrate a birthday. The birthday party turned into a hellish and a nightmare experience for us. At the entrance, we were told that we can pay the bill via dine out. We ordered 1 bottle of liquor and asked that liquor to be served through 4 quarters. The first issues arose when the bartender mismanaged the quantity in the quarters and did not appropriately pour the remaining 210 ml liquor in the last quarter. We got suspicious of this unscrupulous behaviour when the last quarter was about to be delivered. We were using 60 ml measurer to pour 60 ml equally in the three glasses. The first three quarters had 180 ml each, which was correct. But the last quarter also had 180ml. Ideally it should have 210 ml. So when the bartender poured the last quarter from the bottle, some liquor left in the bottle. When we asked the bartender to pour the remaining liquor in the jar, he refused and said that he had poured the complete 750 ml. To present his case, he searched and showed another empty bottle and told us that he was delivering the liquor from both the bottles. Ideally he should use only 1 bottle. When we complained this to the manager, he did not accept the mistake. We asked him to check the cctv, but he refused. When we told him that we will raise this issue in social media, he said that this is very offensive and started misbehaving with us. At the end, we asked him to give that quarter to us and end this matter here. Indeed, the quarter had 180 ml as it got confirmed when the quarter got empty in three 60 ml shots. It is not about 30 ml liquor but about the unscrupulous and callous behaviour of the staff and the management. The second and the main issue arose when we got the bill. We told the waiter that we will pay the bill via dine out. He said that the dine out payment is not applicable for the liquor but only on food. The justification provided by the manager was the quarters were already priced at a discounted rate ,and hence, dine out can’t be used. As per the dine out terms and conditions, if any ongoing offer is availed, then the payment is not applicable. There was no offer ongoing when we entered the restaurant. If ordering quarter is part of the ongoing offer, then the same must have been told to us when we ordered it. We ordered directly from the menu, and the ongoing offers are never part of the menu. The waiter already knew that we will pay through dine out. In every other restaurant, the guests are always informed of what can be paid and what can’t be paid through other payment modes. After the heated argument, a compromise was reached in which the liquor’s price was calculated at the 30 ml peg’s price, and the bill was paid through dine out. The manager’s name is Prashant. He seemed to be very polite but is very cunning and has a very slight and demeaning tone. This is one of our worst experiences ever, and we will never recommend anyone for chatter house. One must go there at one’s own risk and should carefully and explicitly clear everything with the waiter and manager even if the same is not...
