We visited The Fisherman's Kitchen by its name n after checking its menu it prompted us to spend our special dinner over there which turned out to be a memorable experience. First of all on entering the ambience and setup really was well designed and classy, the captain Miss Das greeted with a true warm smile though it was almost late 10pm closing time nearly. Mainly about the food we had the soups n Tandoori chicken, Fish Tikka n mainly the Tandoori Prompetš in starters were lip-smacking. We never had such smooth tender delicious Tandoori š even in Hyd or elsewhere. The biryanis taste was awesome along with the Prawns š¦ curry. It was a splendid experience with everyone of us deeply lost into their taste. The twist at the end was the owner Mr. Ranjan happens to be a collegemate of my in-law at INDO-AMERICAN Hotel Management, with vast working experience in hotel industry n that's the reason why they restaurant has been so well crafted in all aspects. We have been to Fisherman's Wharf in Hyd, My Fishing Boat n Cochin Restaurants n even in Vizag but this cuisine has beaten all the experiences we had till date. The quality of food they serve is truly high. Strongly recommend to go for it. Only suggestion is that the quantity of items has to be increased a be to be on par with others. All the best to the 'The Fisherman's Kitchen' team for their wonderful hostingšš It will be a regular place here on whenever we...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFisherman's Kitchen in Puri is a must-visit for anyone craving seafood or Chinese cuisine with a modern twist. The restaurantās ambience combines contemporary elegance with beachy vibes, perfectly setting the tone for a relaxed dining experience.
The Chinese offerings at Fishermanās Kitchen are standout, and our meal did not disappoint. We started with Drums of Heaven, which featured large, succulent chicken pieces cooked to perfection in a dry preparation that was incredibly satisfying. The seafood fried rice was a pleasant surpriseāthough we were initially worried about the potential for a pungent fish smell, the rice was fragrant and flavorful, with the fresh fish enhancing the dish rather than overpowering it.
The Chilli Fish was another highlight, with tender, fresh fish that practically melted in the mouth, while the Prawn Tai Pai was tangy and full of zest. Every dish was well-prepared, showcasing the restaurantās expertise in Chinese cuisine.
The atmosphere, combined with the exceptional food, made for an enjoyable dining experience. While the menu offers a variety of dishes, itās clear that Chinese cuisine is their forte. Located in the bustling main market of Puri, surrounded by hotels and food stalls, Fisherman's Kitchen is one of the busiest restaurants around, and for good reason. It's a must-visit for seafood lovers and anyone who enjoys authentic...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently dined at The Fisherman's Kitchen in Puri, a restaurant I had heard great things about. I must say, I had a mixed experience during my visit. The ambiance of the restaurant is lovely, with a nautical theme that truly gives you the feeling of being in a fisherman's haven. The seating was comfortable, and the lighting was just right, providing a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. However, my experience with the food was not as delightful. We ordered a variety of dishes, and while some were satisfactory, I was disappointed with the preparation time. We had to wait quite a while for our food to arrive, which dampened our spirits. Furthermore, the quality of the chicken dishes left a lot to be desired. The meat was not as tender and juicy as I would have expected, and the flavors were rather bland. This was surprising, considering the reputation of the restaurant. That being said, the staff was friendly and attentive, which somewhat made up for the shortcomings in the food department. In conclusion, The Fisherman's Kitchen has a great ambiance, but there is room for improvement when it comes to food preparation time and the quality of some dishes, particularly the chicken. I would give it another try, hoping for a better culinary experience...
