We felt that Hotel Geetham {one out of 3 branches – ie: 85, Chetty St, Heritage Town, Puducherry, 605001} stood the best in QUALITY – QUANTITY – SERVICE – PRICE Status! Their MINI-TIFFIN (Morning Breakfast – in Banana Leaf) @ Rs. 65/= cannot be consumed by 2 persons! Ref to our photos! HOT & TASTY! Really appreciate!! (Details in Geetham Review)

HOTEL KARTHIK – Standard (Limited – more than sufficient for a person) Lunch @ Rs.70, Unlimited at @ Rs. 80 & Executive Meals @ Rs.100/= (eat-what-you-can-eat) are Excellent! $$ Clean entrance $$ A Fruits stall welcomes you $$ Air-conditioned environment, $$ Comfortable Chairs & Tables which are very clean + Well maitained $$ A simple Menu sheet and Booklet are available (With very affordable rates) $$ Orders are taken delivered at reasonable speed, even if some function is running. $$ Quality & Quantity of food are VERY GOOD – Appreciated the team many times $$ The rates are very nominal for the quality, Quantity, Service and Air-conditioned environment $$ Card facility is available; (Tips in cash) $$ Parcel Service initiated through another counter (quite quick)

The Restrooms are good – but maintenance is very, VERY POOR (REALLY DIRTY = UNUSABLE!)

As rightly reviewed by many, this restaurant outscored many other competitors, but we gave just higher status to Hotel Geetham for overall satisfaction – worth trying both.

Delicious and Rich Food, Spacious seating, and Crowded. (sometimes spoil vegetables)

Rating scale: Food: 5 star (ensure the vegetables not smelling bad)

Ambience: 4 star

Parking: Not well maintained. So 2 star

Staff Service: Simply waste. Forcing the customer to provide them tips (making the diners an awkward situation by asking tips aloud). So 0(zero) Star

Karthik is a Vegetarian Restaurent with Air-conditioned dinning hall. It is very famous for local traditional meals.

On my visit on Sunday at 2:00pm, I found it bit crowded but got the table easily. Ordered for a meal, the gravies are good enough. Also delicious Payasam. The negative part is the restaurant is providing unhygienic vegetables (presence of dead insects) and spoiled side dishes. Apart from that a nice place to have dine in for lunch.

To pin point, I was disrespected by the staff who served me. Also most of the family felt similar situation as the server uses words like "sollu da", "Adythu enna di vennu unakku", "sapta table vittu kelambu". Apart from the staff, food is very delicious and so delightful, very well cooked, 4 gravies, 2 vegetables, 1 payasam are nice.

Just remember, Thus it's good to order all at once. Don't hope for good staff behaviour. Ensure Tip them if you feel a good service, apart ignore them if they are...

I had morning breakfast here with my family on the last day in Pondicherry. Although, we had been staying at Kaarthik hotel which is just above this restaurant we never thought of having food here, maybe because all in my family are non-vegetarians. But, on our last day I just checked out their menu online and saw their vast South Indian menu. It also had Rawa dosa which is my son's favorite in South Indian food, so my family decided that we should try out this restaurant.

It was a good thing that we made that decision......., because we then came to know what we had been missing. We had gone around looking for a good simple breakfast in Pondicherry, when all the time it was just below the hotel we were staying at. Believe me, they have very good South Indian menu and food. All chutneys and Sambhar was very tasty. The rawa masala dosa and the vada were so fresh, crunchy and tasty. There was nothing wrong with their food. Finally, the coffee was so refreshing, strong and tasty...... Everything was just WOW. I would highly recommend this hotel for one of the best veg hotels in Pondicherry. The ambience here is great, fully AC and very clean...... I enjoyed the food here, hope...
