While Koregaon Park wears a natural charm, itâs also tough competition, as a âspecialty coffee place.â And, so I park myself on a Sunday morning, imbibing all things coffee that has me fully enamored at 7 to 9 Grams Coffee, Specialty Coffee and Bakehouse.
The amiable and passionate Pune-born Indian Irish, visionary founder, Ashish Bharvirkar is an authorized specialty coffee trainer, serving blends sourced from India and the globe in his chic restaurant.
There is an impressive variety, as the hot and cold, but to list few: The Signature â Cold Brew (strawberry, lychee, mosambi, coffee cherry, more), Vermicelli Coffee, Whiskeyccino, Ash Coffee
Coffee Doubter â Mocha, Spanish Latte, Vanilla Me, Irish Galway Girl
Originals â Chikmagalur Filter Kaapi, Iced Vietnamese Phin, Bombon Spanish, Kapi Khop Indonesian, Gelato Affogato Italian
7 to 9 Grams opens at 7.30 am and is ideal for breakfast as: Choicest Eggs (Benedict with Hollandaise Sauce, Turkish Cilbir, Shakshuka, Kimchi Omelette, more), Breakfast for Champions, Smoothie Bowls
Then there are Open Toastie Bread, Fresh Sandwiches, BurgersâŠ
I could come again just for Frappuccinos and Bobas.
We (table for 2) ordered the Morning Stack, a gorgeous croissant stacked with bacon, omelette, avocado in mustard sauce. And, the Full Irish Breakfast with hash browns, grilled tomatoes, scrambled eggs/omelette, beans, mushrooms, sausages, bacon and sourdough bread. And, a Strawberry Boba, Vietnamese Frappuccino and Chikmagalur Filter Kaapi that we âstrawedâ and slurped immensely happy.
The food was not only gorgeous but paved that rare, perfect Sunday. The filter coffee from Chikmagalur had me literally jump in joy to the amusement of the staff!
All is eye-catching, immersive, near-perfect, as the Monalisa âartisanalâ stamp stickers and the âdesiâ whiskey cold brew bottles, and short notes that come on the metallic trays, describing your specialty beverage. I love stories and details centered around food, and those who painstakingly educate us.

Nestled in the heart of Koregaon park, 729 grams is a delightful and cute cafe that one has to visit
Loved the grey and yellow interiors which are instantly very calming to see and very different from White or Earthy tones that most places are doing
They have a vast delicious food menu.
My ultimate favourite were the Shakahuka eggs cooked Italian Style. Served with an amazing sauce, the dish couldnât help itself but be an ultimate explosion of good flavours.
Their Turkish egg is pretty spot on and the yoghurt dressing served is so fresh and good
An important shoutout to some really good quality bread served with their toasts and sandwiches. The chicken banh mi was too good to refuse. The pickled veggies and spicy sauce really added to the tasteful punch
Their basque cheesecake is an absolute must try. Soft, fluffy and creamy.
Coming to the most important element, Coffee. I really being the cold coffee lover I am, enjoyed their house blend Frappe. So smooth, creamy and a delight to sip on.
Hats off to their team member - Abhay, who was constantly smiling, suggesting well, attending every table and working fantastically under pressure. A true asset to the cafe
Cannot wait to return back to enjoy the vibe and sip on some...
