We visited Bombon, Koregaon Park for my wife’s birthday brunch and couldn’t have chosen a better spot. Spread across ground plus two floors, the place has a beautiful balance of cozy indoor corners and breezy outdoor seating. The ambience is warm, aesthetic, and thoughtfully designed — perfect for both casual catch-ups and special occasions. The attention to detail shows everywhere, even in the clean and well-maintained washrooms, a big plus.

A special mention for the valet service, which was a lifesaver on the day we visited - it was raining heavily, and the team not only managed parking seamlessly but also escorted us to the entrance with umbrellas. A small gesture, I expect this at the bars and clubs but not many cafes.

The staff was welcoming and hospitable throughout, making us feel at ease right from the start.

Coming to the food & drinks, each dish we tried was a delight: • Butter Croissant: Flaky, buttery, and melt-in-the-mouth, served with a generous side of butter. Easily one of the best in town. • Arabica Cappuccino: Smooth and aromatic with perfect crema, served in an earthy cup with latte art, exactly what you’d want from a cafe. • Hot Chocolate: Rich, indulgent, and comforting — felt like a hug in a mug. • Smoked Salmon Scrambled Eggs on Sourdough: Creamy scrambled eggs paired beautifully with the smoky salmon, all on a perfectly toasted sourdough base, complemented with a fresh side salad. A well-balanced dish both in taste and presentation. • Bang Bang Chicken Strips: Crispy, golden fried chicken generously drizzled with chipotle sauce - spicy, tangy, and absolutely addictive.

I really wanted to like the food, hoping it was not another ambience-centric place.

But its hard when the Caesar salad is mixed with just cheesy dressing (even if a fancy parmesan tuile is made, its JUST cheese) and no distinctive twist of their own; the blueberry pancakes are cloyingly sweet AND served with generic whipped cream. Food is extremely basic, like what I’d expect to eat in Pune 7 years back.

Coffee is great though. Pricing is again ok just for the location of the cafe, but definitely wouldn’t reorder food here.

I may drop by for coffee...
