Recently visited Butter Brews on a Monday and it was good to see it packed with people. There is Valet Parking available, which is really an important factor when visiting Koregaon Park.
Situated at the corner of Lane 5 junction, Butter Brews is an alfresco dining area nicely setup with lot of plants, warm fairy lights and lamps across the seating areas. Tranquil, romantic and cozy ambience is something you can expect when visiting this place. Mist sprays will help you beat the heat in this weather.
With a warm welcome, the staff was quick to have us seated suitably for a group of 5. We had a quick glance at the menu, got some recommendations for Veg and Non veg and went ahead with our order. The food and beverages looked amazing and we couldn't wait to savour them. Here's a quick brief of the dishes we tried -
We got Virgin Mojito and Mix Berry Slush in Coolers which were refreshing, rejuvenating and perfect to quench our thirst. The Peanut Butter + Banana and Triple Berry Smoothiea were so good. The Iced Frappuccino was chilled, creamy and blended with less sugar and more Caffeine as per my request.
For Vegetarian food -
Veg Khow Suey - Garlic Noodles were served with Khow Suey gravy and all the condiments like crispy noodles, cut red chillis, crushed peanuts, coriander leaves, chopped spring onions and caramelised Onions. The portion of all the condiments was enough to give it that oh-so-wow flavors. Definitely in my top 3 list of Pune.
Stuffed Grilled Cottage Cheese Steak - Paneer was marinated with herbs and garlic and topped with Harissa sauce, served along with Mashed Potatoes and Sautéed Veggies. The taste was subtle, with not any one single flavor dominating. The plating was nicely done too.
Rainbow Ciabatta Sandwich - A Sub like sandwich, made with Ciabatta bread and filled with Cream Cheese and lot of veggies like Tomatoes, Jalapeños, Beetroot, Kale and Bell Peppers.
And of course, Desserts -
Biscoff Cheesecake - Needs no introduction. Crazy good!
Chocolate Hazelnut - Eclair coated with Chocolate Ganache on the top and Hazelnut on the sides.
Chocolate Truffle - Chocolaty, Gooey, Dark and Sinful
Honeyed Mascarpone and Mixed Berry Compote Crepe - One of a kind combination. Super thin Pancakes stuffed with creamy Mascarpone Cheese having velvety texture and rich mouthfeel. A little too sweet for my pallette but this did taste amazing.
MUST TRY - Khow Suey Biscoff Cheesecake Coffee
We had a great time at Butter Brews and really loved the hospitality. The food was nice and beverages were amazing. They have a lot of Vegan variants available so please ask for customisations if necessary. Although a little higher on the prices for the portions, this place is definitely worth a shot in...
Read moreI remain a big fan of cute little European themed cafes and honestly loved this one in particular as they serve globally inspired food. A restaurant that prides itself in serving great bagel sandwiches, healthy salads, refreshing cold brews and of course mind-blowing coffees.
Butter Brews, ladies and gentlemen! What a rollercoaster year this has been for this charming little restaurant that is now loved by me, the missus and the little princess. We visited it for lunch a few weeks ago and I observed the supremely talented chef seemingly outdo himself at each dish.
Here's what all we tried at Butter Brews – Koregaon Park:
Drinks:
Masala Kala Khatta Slush – Tasted just how nostalgia strikes. Pure, natural and refreshing. You should definitely try this one at Butter Brews.
Classic Cold Brew – Coffee brewed for 20 hours to bring out flavourful nuances while reducing the acidity making it really smooth. (Oh yes, I read the brochure) Honestly, I really enjoyed the cold brew specially because how its acidity is toned down and how it gives you a sense of relaxation.
Salad:
Out of all the salads on God’s green earth, the Watermelon & Feta Cheese is what I enjoy the most. Roquette leaves, watermelon, pickled onions, jalapeños, feta in zaatar-lime dressing – the perfect beginning to yet another happy & satisfying meal.
Mains:
Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese Bagel – This baby may seem like a straight forward offering but something this simple needs to be perfect, you see, the sky is smoked salmon bagel limit, and trust me, Butter Brews nails it. This one here is, predictably more in the New York style. This baby can be enjoyed with a coffee or even with a smoothie bowl at BB!
Khow suey Bowl – An irresistible Burmese deconstructed khow-suey. Have tried it at different restaurants pan India but the one served at Butter Brews was a notch higher with chicken and noodles in an aromatic coconut curry broth, the wife and I finished off the bowl in no time.
Grilled Chicken – Yet another stellar dish on the menu. The go-to main if you’re famished. Comes with creamy potato mash, greens, olives and Greek yogurt dressing.
Desserts:
Chocolate Hazelnut – Just when I think these guys have set the bar, they find another way to level up, never resting on their laurels. The craft involved blows my mind. Looks like a beautiful éclair but isn’t, the gorgeous Chocolate Hazelnut at BB is a show stealer! Just the perfect balance of sweetness and love.
If you have something to celebrate, you should certainly consider dining at Butter Brews. If you ask me, you should celebrate Life, daily, at Butter...
Read moreI am a fan of cute cafes…. Recently visited one which is already well known in the Model colony and opened a new branch in Koregaon Park...name is Butter Brew Bistro, which is famous for its homemade Bagels and coffees.
The cafe is super chilled and cosy. The ambience is very simple yet chic with all the greenery around.
Apart from the ambience, the hospitality and service were super amazing. The staff was friendly and explained everything very nicely.
Also what I liked is The All-Day breakfast menu available here.
So the food we tried :
✓ Chicken Gurkha Bagel Sandwich: This is their signature bagel sandwich. As the name suggests the chicken is slow-cooked in Nepali spices. Also included potato, fried onions, etc. Served with some greens and a special dip, which also included the same spices used in the Bagel.
✓Mushroom and Cheddar Cheese Bagel Sandwich: This Sandwich included fried garlic tempura mushrooms with cheddar cheese, jalapenos and olives. This was also served with some greens and a dip on the side.
Also, the owner told us that they serve specific dips with specific bagels which compliment each other nicely.
Both the bagel sandwiches were amazing and that's why they were known for their bagels which were amazing.
✓Ratatouille Crêpe: After bagels, we tried a crepe with a classic filling ' Ratatouille'. Ratatouille is one of my French dishes, consisting of different veggies. The Ratatouille crepe was perfectly cooked and was delicious.
✓Beverages: We tried Cappuccino and Iced mocha. They were having limited options for beverages on the day we visited the cafe. But no complaints with the beverages.
✓Banana and Nutella Crepe: This is the perfect option for Nutella lovers. And also for the people who love their desserts extra sweet. The crepe will satisfy the craving instantly. This one was mouth-watering
✓Honey Mascarpone and Mixed Berries Compote Crepe: Honestly when I heard the name of the crepe, I was not so sure if I was gonna like it or not. As it had honey and berries, I don't like honey and I thought too many berries could somehow make the crepe sour. But I was proved wrong. It was super delicious and super creamy. I loved it and will recommend this dessert.
They also have salads, pasta, meal bowls, quesadillas and many more options to choose from. We were full after having all this. And will visit the cafe again to try out more options.
Overall experience was amazing and a must-visit the super cute place.
