This is a review about aashirwad dining hall in Kothrud. Famous for its amazing Maharashtrian culture and cuisine. It serves to have the worst management and rude customers. Today we went there and the experience was terrible. There was a huge rush due to festive season and there was a waiting crowd and we were assigned a table and once we were seated a lady diagonally seated to us shouts at us to get up and leave as more 5 people were coming and were going to sit where we were sitting. I responded to her with all due respect ma’am please communicate with the staff and resolve the query. But she just went on screaming at us to get up and finally when I called the manager he told us that we were seated at the wrong table and if we could change tables though we had already double checked with another waiter that if we were supposed to be seated here and he had nodded twice and said you are supposed to sit here. I told them that why is she screaming at us if she could have just said it nicely and why was this miscommunication happening. They shrugged and just said to move tables and when the manager asked the lady she lied saying we were talking amongst us. We walked out of there and they did not even apologise or try to stop us. The most probable reason was because it was a group of 9 more business and the worst part is that the people who were supposedly to sit there weren’t even present and the lady did not t even have the etiquette to talk and the staff did not show any sense of...

Ashirwad Dining Hall in Kothrud is a popular spot for those seeking authentic, homely Maharashtrian food at reasonable prices. Known for its traditional Thali meals, highlights often include their special Sunday afternoon Masala Bhaat and Basundi, which come highly recommended by many. Customers frequently praise the delicious and flavorful food, often describing it as having a genuine "Puneri" taste, without artificial additives. The unlimited Maharashtrian thali is a significant draw, offering good value for money. The service is generally quick and efficient, and the ambiance is considered cozy and inviting, despite some comments about seating being a bit congested. A common point of feedback, however, is the lack of dedicated parking for four-wheelers, which can be an inconvenience. Overall, if you're looking for a satisfying, budget-friendly meal with authentic local flavors and a comforting, home-style feel, Ashirwad Dining Hall is a solid...

Average thali, food is good and masale bhat is good to try once. Only one thing I observed that they DON’T INFORM CUSTOMERS IF ANY ITEM IS FINISHED BEFORE YOU TAKE A SEAT. I found this unusual as 50% people in our group got one side dish (sural wadi : yellow rounded one) and remaining 50% have been told it’s finished. Even though they are charging full amount for the plate where one item is missing. And when I told this to cashier , he said we don’t charge extra for this missing side dish. Didn’t understood what he mean to say.

The LOL part was all foolish customers wait 1:30 hours outside and not even asking what is in the menu while sitting for lunch. I mean com’on man you are paying for something and not even checking what you are getting...

I had dinner at Ashirvad Dining Hall and tried their Maharashtrian Thali. It was a very good experience overall. The food truly felt like homely, comfort food. Each item in the thali was served unlimited, except for the sweet, which was still satisfying. What stood out to me the most was the aamti — flavorful and perfectly balanced, not overly spicy, just the way I like it. The thali was reasonably priced at ₹170, making it great value for money. The staff were very polite and attentive, and the service was quick. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for authentic Maharashtrian food.

I just stopped here to have my lunch while I was passing by. For a person it costs 150rs in that thali you will get 2 sabji (1 dry & 1 liquid), chapati, rice, dal, papad, tak & koshimbir. In terms of taste, I'll say that it's typical to not detect anything exceptional, much like home-cooked food. After eating lunch, I was likewise not feeling too satiated. There is parking for two-wheelers, the staff is attentive, and the location is not very large, so you might have to wait for a few minutes.

If you're looking for something "gharguti" or something that reminds you of simple and filling homecooked food, this is the place! 😍👌🏻 The menu varies every day and is a mix of 2 sabji and salad, while the chapati, dal, and rice are constant. It is a small place bustling with people. You might have to wait 5-10mins for your turn if you visit during lunch hours. But the food and service is superb!
