We had reserved the table in AI DI LA - Conrad for our mom's birthday. The first thing we noticed was once we entered the place the lights were kept super dim. It became a struggle to see each other let alone the menu.

Menu: Let's get started on the menu, as expected it's a 5 star restaurant, the prices are kept on the higher and premium tag. All the food we ordered was really great, their Korean bbq chicken was lip smacking, specially the sauce it comes with, pure bliss. (I know it's strange since it's an Italian restaurant).

Service: All of the staff who tended us were really polite and even helped in changing the tables quickly when we wanted to. But now comes the downside. There were multiple times in food and drink that we were told that the selected item is not available. I don't have any issues with this but then at least update the same before you hand out the menu. The beer we ordered along with a mocktail was serverd to us in 45 minutes. Furthermore this really was not expected from a top notch restaurant of their calibre.

Ambience: As you would see from the other reviews too, the ambience and setting of the restaurant is classy, cosy and top tier. The issue we had during our time was they had a number of expats who were drunk and were making a lot of noise. It was like you were sitting in a wedding where people were gossiping and shouting and laughing loudly. I get the point that they might be staying there but that doesn't give them the right to ruin everyone else's experience there.

Overall: I'd say I'll think twice about visiting the place as we thought it was a special occasion and we wanted to make our mom visit this 5 star place but it certainly did not live to its mark. They really need to sort out the lighting issue (since we could see other people also using a torch to see menus), the issue about the availability of food and drink items. Al Di La is a rooftop gem perched atop Conrad Pune, offering not just exquisite Italian fare but also a breathtaking panoramic view of the city lights—the highest of its kind in Pune. I reserved a table via Zomato for a celebration, and the experience was nothing short of spectacular.

The culinary offerings were thoughtfully curated and absolutely delectable. We started with the Wild Mushroom Arancini and Spinach & Ricotta Phyllo Bundles, both of which were delightful bursts of flavor. For the mains, the Wild Mushroom Ravioli stood out with its velvety texture and earthy richness. To complement the meal, I indulged in a Berry Blast and a Virgin Pina Colada, both perfectly balanced and refreshing.

The pièce de résistance, however, was the surprise dessert. Noticing my birthday note on the Zomato reservation, the staff presented a complementary gooey chocolate cake that was as decadent as it was thoughtful—a true testament to their hospitality.

While the pricing leans towards the premium side, the ambiance, impeccable service, and culinary finesse make it well worth it. A special shoutout to Ruth, who served us with warmth and an infectious smile, ensuring the evening was seamless and memorable.

Whatta place! 🫰 Loved the rooftop with live music and a perfect vibe. 🌌🎶🎸🎼 This restaurant is Conrad's Italian rooftop restaurant. The ambience is jazzy and classy. It’s the ambience that gets the stars followed by the food, the view of the city from outside sitting area is just serene and calm. 🌃 The authentic Italian food was simply amazing—every dish was bursting with flavor and felt like a true taste of Italy. The ambience was warm and inviting, perfect for a cozy dinner. The Mediterranean (Flat bread), Mushroom Arrancini, Rigatoni - all the dishes were super yummy. A special shoutout to the Tiramisu; it’s an absolute must-try and the perfect way to end a delightful meal. The only not so good part of the entire experience - They add by default additional Staff Contributions + Service Tax on that amount (which is totally optional to pay and can get it removed from the bill total) in the bill, not-so-cool to add optional charges, you should ask the customer if they would like to opt.
