A very old Irani restaurant on Karve Road. Here you get good Irani style chai ani Bun Mhaska. You will get other stuff too, but it is known for its chai and bun mhaska. This place used to take me to the nostalgia when I was a kid and used to roam around with my dad on Sunday mornings. Cafes like these were empty. People use to occupy one table, order breakfast & tea and sit for long hours reading newspaper. It was slow, calm and relaxed view. The typical marble top tables, heavy wooden art deco styled chairs were a part of the decor in these cafes. Cafe Paradise has renovated themselves during the lockdown time. New signage is up, walls look brighter. The old dark yet friendly corners are vanished. But the chai and bun mhaska tastes the same.
