Sampan Food Court — Restaurant in Pune

One of worst food, non hygienic and very very worst service i think i have ever seen in pune by sampan camp apart of his other branches i know sampan from the days he use run Chinese food cart on university circle and he is well big now he is running 3 or 4 Chinese food restaurant .i have taken my friend's who have came down from bangalore to this place for dinner instead of George restaurant which was just a walking distance. As expecting food and service will same .but it came out to be like nightmare and i was cursing my self why in the world did i came her After placing order it took 45 min for first order(snacks) to be placed and plates in which we was suppose eat was at all not clean we have to clean the plates with paper napkins on our self after that main dishes was horribly prepared and rotis was on waiting list and finaly when time came for chicken fried rice it took 30 min seriously 30 min which takes nothing more 10 mins by the time our hunger was totaly dead ....best part is their was 4 more tabels occupied by other customers apart of us and they were also facing the same problem like us and staff was 12 to 15 people only for serving food and most them was enjoying doing time pass cracking joke's and when it came time to give service serving job was pushed on each other by serving staff and no one was willing to serve the food for waiting customers finally we came paying more then 1200/rs for this kind service 😡😡😡😡and cold stinking food.its was very sad that the management is not at all good.THE management must be change by owners if they want to run show So finaly my request all the people's please go to sampan on your...

I have been visiting this place for more than 12 years now and still this place is almost the same in terms of ambience and food quality. Nothing much has changed here. Chicken dishes are super yummy here and at a reasonable price . You must try garlic chicken, chicken kabab, chicken tandoori, chicken chilly here in starters whereas chicken angara, amritsari chicken , chicken handi are good to have in main course.

They also have a wide range of veg options including Chinese.

Everything is good about this place however this place seriously needs some makeover as it's kind of open kitchen so many times tadka and pungent smell bothers customers and specially kids.

Table and chairs are of plastic and old as well so those can be changed as well.

One disadvantage is that there is no dedicated parking for this place and you need to park on the road at mg road which is like walking a distance from your vehicle to restaurant and on the weekend it may be a challenge in absence of adequate parking.

After a while, we visited Sampan today for lunch. As usual I ordered Chicken Takakat with Naans and started with Afghani Chicken Tandoori.

I must say that this place has lost its charm. Food, vibe, taste, quality, quantity everything is on toss.

When we visited for lunch that was on Sunday peak lunch time, 1-2.30, and there were only 3 customers including us.

Coming back to food, chicken takatak was not having enough quantity, quality wise also low, there were no corridor and kalonji toppings like before. Cream decor was also missing. 😜 Naans were okay. Afghani Tandoori was also not up to the mark.
