Taste : 10/10 Authenticity : 9/10 Price : 5/10 Quantity : 6/10 Food safety : 7/10
Great taste and authentic 😋.. But few drawbacks.
Quantity is too less. Looks miniature. They are looking bigger on pictures though.
Price 99/- for small ghee masala dosa!! I spent 400/- alone to fill my stomach. (2 masala dosa, 1 rava dosa,1 chow chow bath, tea, water bottle)
I understand its in prime locality, but there are other shops there who are selling at normal price.
I've paid 30/- for same size same dosa in Bangalore. Without podi)
Ghee masala dosa is just awesome! (Actually if I have to be strict with my review, dosa here is very thin. The one I have in Bangalore is Crispy outside yet spongy inside) but still 10/10 for Dosa.
Rava dosa is awesome!
Chow chow bath is little different from one I ate in Bangalore. But okay.
Tea is not good. Tea lovers will have hard time finishing it. I doubt the cup they used too.
Price per quantity is a big let down for me. I think it's one time visit for me.
Edit: In reply to Gatti Chutney Response below.
I had dosai at Taaza Thindi, Vidyarthi Bhavan and couple of other places. All priced between 30-50 and the size of dosa is decent. Yes, I agree they use oil and may be a little ghee on top, but still either the size or the price must match. You don't put so much ghee that the price is 3 times more, yet the size is not as much. I can easily have 7 such dosa's to feel full. 400/- for breakfast is way above par. I am sure something can be done to improve the pricing without compromising on the quality.
May be you can do some cost cutting there. Instead of sourcing from Bangalore, you an source them locally who are getting them from Bangalore. I am sure you don't have to source ghee from Bangalore, you will find pure desi ghee suppliers in Pune too.
You are using natural food grade plates, but the day I went, sambar is served on a normal disposable cup. It doesn't have ECF Marking.
May be, never mind.
How did you come to an assumption that, I haven't talked to the manager there? I did talk to him and shared my concerns. Truns out, he doesn't even know the term "Food Grade". I had to educate him about it.
But, I am really impressed with what you want to bring to the foodies. But, it would be even better if you are open with the feedback from customer, than defending it.
I understand that your team is hard working, I personally admire that. But as an end user, what matter to me is "Quality, food at a perfect price point" will keep me coming back again and again and even recommend to others. In fact, I recommended this to my flatmates, showed them pictures, they asked for price.. I told them. They've dropped the idea to come.
I am sure it's not just me. You can do cost cuttings here and there without of course not compromising on the quality. In my opinion, I find 60/- for masala dosai is the sweet spot (Given it's size), its till double than taaza thindi.

I wad intrigued when I heard the name Gatti Chutney. Till I met its founder, a young Marwari lady, at their Pune Koregaon Park restaurant.
She told me their family favored a thick or solid chutney when they went out to eat at Bangalore, where she is from.
Planning a restaurant, the name Gatti Chutney came naturally to its owner. And that is what they serve at their restaurant.
A green blob of coriander chutney. Next to a blob of red tomato chutney.
Gatti Chutney is a Bangalore darahini style eatery with few products whose pictures they display above their counter and an open kitchen.
While at Pune last week, we tried a range of their menu items and were impressed by the tasty food, attractive packaging and nice presentation.
Gatti Chutney's golden yellow, fluffy masala dosa is one of their best dishes. You get to taste the non oily potato onion masala with the glistening dosa.
The day I was at the restaurant and met its owner, she was giving a new employee, a restaurant tour.
And showing him how to eat a masala dosa - not by tearing it at the center, but patiently from the sides. Eating that way keeps the inside of the dosa hot and tasty till you reach it.
Gatti Chutney also makes nice thatte idli, another Karnataka dish slowly gaining popularity at Maharashtra.
Gatti Chutney serves upma, sheera and Bangalore's upma-sheera mix, the Chow-chow bath. They also serve a range of idlis, dosas, vadas and rice dishes. Serving sizes are modest and prices high as they have good quality and an all-steel kitchen.
For delivery, Gatti Chutney uses round cardboard containers and foil pouches. And serves their dishes in area palm frond plates with wooden spoons and forks.
You can now enjoy Bangalore Darshini style food at Pune's Gatti Chutney and the finest masala dosa...
