I've been here a lot considering I've been in Pune for just 3 months. I've never been disappointed as such with this restaurant, but I do feel that the quality of food fluctuates a bit here. I have had dine out experiences, as well as delivery experiences here, and for the most part, they've been very pleasant. This place is in the centre of DC and you can't miss it, really. The food here is really tasty in general if you choose your dishes properly.
So till date, I've tasted the following dishes:
Chilli Chicken: It's the chilli chicken you've come to expect if Punjabi or North Indian restaurants - balanced, flavourful, leaves you wanting more. Taste wise, a nice dish. Though I found that chicken was not very fresh when I had this but it might have been a one time, because in other dishes I didn't experience this.
Butter Chicken (Murg Makhhanwala): This is THE best thing we've had at this restaurant till date, well, in main course. The chicken pieces are nice, smoky, flavourful, and in abundance, the gravy is a little sweet but still retains the smoky flavours, and it's creamy and rich. Perfectly balanced spices and other seasonings. It's definitely recommended if you're a fan of butter chicken.
Murg Angara Kabab: Spice Lovers, this one's for you. This Kebab has so much flavour, and is so tender and smoky at the same time, it alone makes your visit/order worthy. I've had it at least 3-4 times now. We make it a point to order this whenever we go, and have never been disappointed.
Chicken Tikka Masala: This has been tried by me only in delivery, and it is a bit too spicy to my liking. Not chilli spicy, but all types of spices spicy. The gravy has lots of seasoning, but it seems to be a mess and drowns overall flavour. I did not feel the flavour of the chicken tikka at all. Will still recommend trying something else from the vast menu.
Murgh Mussalam: This dish is for people who love chicken in any form and love it in very large quantities. Personally, I'm not a fan of minced chicken, which the gravy is full of. The dish is well prepared and has a lot of flavour, and spice, and is definitely recommended, if you're in a large group of people.
Murgh Peshawari: This is a deceiving dish, as the gravy looks very mild and rich with cashew paste, but boy does it pack a kick of spice to it! It's beautifully prepared, and is definitely a recommended dish if you visit this restaurant. This is only second to the Butter Chicken among all the dishes I've tried here.
Prawns Butter Garlic: This dish is the only dish I WANT everyone to try, so please do. I promise you won't be disappointed. Batter coated prawns fried and coated in a perfectly balanced butter Garlic sauce. This is a MUST TRY, for sure.
Coming to the breads, I've tried the Butter roti, which was okay, but all the other naans are really good. I would recommend trying the chilli garlic naan if you love a little heat in your naans as well.
Another recommended dish that I just had a little taste of, is the Paneer Punjabi Masala, and if you're a vegetarian, then please do order it, and you won't be disappointed. Actually, even if you're a non vegetarian, do try it. It's that good!
I'm attaching a few pictures of only the things I've ordered online, as I haven't had the chance to click pictures in the restaurant yet. :P
Definitely a must visit place.
Thanks...
Read moreIf you're looking for a place to refuel after a busy shopping spree in Seasons Mall, Global Punjab is a decent choice. We stumbled upon this restaurant after feeling a bit peckish, and surprisingly, it was quite empty even on the weekend—just us in the entire outlet! The restaurant itself was well-decorated and maintained impeccable cleanliness, creating a pleasant atmosphere.
We decided to try a few dishes to get a well-rounded experience. We ordered the Drums of Heaven, Chicken Hakka Noodles, and Paneer Paratha. Everything we tasted was good, certainly worth a try, but none of the dishes were truly extraordinary. The portion sizes were generally decent, with the only exception being the Paneer Paratha, which felt a bit smaller than expected.
Service could have been a bit quicker since we were practically the only patrons at that time, but it wasn’t too bothersome. One standout aspect of our experience was when we accidentally spilled some water; the staff was incredibly helpful and understanding, promptly cleaning it up with impressive efficiency. Their hospitality was surely a highlight!
Global Punjab is situated on the second floor of Seasons Mall, and the vibe in the restaurant is fantastic, making it a great spot for a team lunch. We had a group of 12 members, and despite the number, we were served good-sized portions of food.
Starting with the soup, it had a strong ginger flavor that might be a bit spicy for some. For starters, we tried Paneer Tikka, Paneer Manchurian, Chicken Tikka, Chicken Manchurian, and Corn Chaat, which was missing that crispness we hoped for. The Roti and Tandoori Roti were soft but needed more even cooking for perfection.
When it came to the main courses, the vegetarian options like Butter Paneer Masala and Dal with Jeera Rice were commendable. However, the chicken dishes were not cooked to satisfaction, being half-boiled and half-cooked. The Lemon Soda was passable, and the Raita could use more balance; thankfully, the salad was fresh and enjoyable.
For dessert, we indulged in vanilla ice cream paired with piping hot Gulab Jamun, which was the perfect sweet treat to round off our meal. The small mouth freshener packets of coated saunf were a nice touch.
Pros: A popular choice for team lunches and dinners. Budget-friendly pricing. Great vibes, paired with good music and an inviting ambiance. Convenient parking access and a wide space for common restrooms shared with the mall.
Overall, while Global Punjab may not be memorable for exceptional culinary experiences, it's a solid spot for casual dining with friends or colleagues, especially if you're looking for something budget-friendly in the vicinity of...

The restaurant itself has a fusion theme with french cafe blended with funky punjabi. they have 2 seatings areas one is indoor and the other one is outdoor. Both have comfy seatings areas with a great ambience. We tried their Starters PANEER Pardha kebab, by far the best paneer starter i have had in a while. it has 2 elements with an outer cover of seasoned paneer hiding paneer bhurji inside just an awesome burst of flavors loved it. MURG tiranga kebab, 3 types of kebabs hence the name all with their own unique flavors. Fish Amritsari Fry, took me back to the taste of the best Punjabi koliwada Fish places in Teg Bahadur Nagar in Mumbai. Authentic flavors. Prawns butter Fry, Had a more Chinese Manchurian types of taste but prawns were large and tasty. Mains MURG massalam, Love this dish for the multiple preparations of chicken that it comes with. Spot on great tasting murg massalam.
Chicken Tandoori Biryani, was a good tasting biryani with plenty of chicken pieces
Mocktails: Unfortunately they do not serve liquor here for some reason but they have some amazing mocktails to choose from. We had
Mango Rapture, sweet sinful delight of a taste with mango and chocolate do try this. FRUIT punch, great fruity taste to refresh your pallette
Dessert Had my all-time favorite sizzling brownie, Soft succulent brownie on a slice of pineapple with the great smoking taste of the chocolate syrup and cold vanilla ice cream just Devine.
Service was prompt. An awesome experience overall and would highly recommend it for a great...
