This cafe has been on my list since it reopened earlier this year. Every month, due to some circumstances, I had to postpone visiting Grandmama's Cafe.
Last month, I finally got the opportunity to go there. And it was great.
The interiors are chic and artistic. The vibe is easygoing and pleasant.
My sisters and I wanted to be seated downstairs, but all the tables were occupied, and we were seated upstairs.
The upstairs seating has an entirely different vibe compared to the downstairs. While the latter appears as a cute cafe, the upstairs is like an expensive bar lounge. (Maybe it seemed that way because I visited at night).
The staff was helpful and offered suggestions when we were confused about ordering some dishes. At the beginning of the dinner, the service was quick, but as the dinner rush commenced, we had to wait a while for our dessert.
It was a Saturday night, so it was understandable.
The best part about Grandmama's Cafe was the food. Even if you're not into cafes, you have to go to Grandmama's Cafe for the food.
I had a variety of foods, and they were all good.
I had their Sriracha Paneer chilli, Mezze Platter, the Farmer's pizza, and the chicken Lasagna. That's not all, I couldn't miss out on their renowned hot chocolate. It is thick and not overly sweet and full of chocolatey goodness. And to wrap up the amazing dinner, we ordered their Grandmama's Grand Mykonos for dessert.
Based on the photos posted online, the dessert seemed small in size, so we ordered one to share. When the dessert arrived, it was three times the size that we expected.
We were already stuffed from all the delicious food, but somehow we polished off the dessert slowly and steadily.
Grandmama's Cafe deserves 4½⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars. The extra ½ star is for the valet parking facilities. Finding a vacant spot on a Saturday night in Koregaon Park is...

Walked into Grandma’s Café today without any plans—just thought of giving it a try. The only good thing? The aesthetics. And that’s where the charm ends. The staff is completely unprofessional, with zero sense of hospitality. Despite five empty tables when we arrived, we were made to wait for over 15 minutes. When we asked why, one of the servers casually mentioned that the tables needed to be cleaned and the helpers were “busy”—except they weren’t. We could clearly see them chatting away in a corner.
The lack of enthusiasm from the staff was almost unsettling. It felt like they were either underpaid or simply uninterested in their job. Every interaction was met with disinterest, making even the simplest conversation feel like a chore.
We were finally seated near a large mirror—where ppl were constantly posing, causing chaos, and making it impossible to enjoy a quiet time. When we shifted to the next table, the staff asked us three times if we had placed our order and what we had ordered. How they manage to run this place without basic order tracking is beyond my understanding.
We initially planned to have a good meal, but the avocado toast was enough to kill our expectation . For nearly ₹600, we got five tiny, unimpressive toasts with barely any feta—just a sad garnish, if that I can say!
It’s clear that this cafe thrives solely on its decor, drawing in crowds more interested in clicking Instagram-worthy pictures than enjoying a good meal. The place is a chaotic mess, and if you’re looking for a calm spot to sip coffee or meal in peace, this is...
Read moreGrandmama’s Café in Koregaon Park truly lives up to its name—it felt like a warm hug in the form of food and ambiance. The vintage, English cottage-style interiors with floral prints, wooden furniture, and cozy outdoor seating instantly made me feel at ease. It’s the kind of place that invites you to slow down, unwind, and enjoy a comforting meal.
I ordered the Grandma’s Special Pizza and Mac & Cheese Pasta, and both lived up to the comfort food promise. The pizza was loaded with veggies—corn, olives, bell peppers, jalapeños, and sundried tomatoes—all balanced beautifully over a thin, crisp base with just the right amount of cheese. It was hearty, colorful, and full of flavor. The Mac & Cheese Pasta was rich, creamy, and indulgent, exactly what you’d want on a cozy day out. It had that perfect cheesy pull and didn’t feel overly heavy either.
The service was polite and laid-back, giving me time to really settle in and enjoy the moment. Price-wise, it’s slightly on the higher side, but for the portion size, taste, and ambiance—it felt worth it.
I’d definitely recommend this spot for a lazy lunch or evening catch-up. It’s the kind of café you keep coming back to when you need comfort, quiet, and...
