After seeing mixed reviews on Maps, I finally decided to go and try this Misal. This was my first time going here.
Tuesday Afternoon(Around 2pm), Less Crowd, Humble Staff, Polite Service. Zero Issues there.
I ordered their 100Rs Unlimited Misal with Taak for 20.
I'm not sure if this was Kolhapuri Misal but you be the judge. I was solely here for the taste and quality of the food.
The base of the Misal was made up of Pohe, Vatana, onion, and Sev on top. The Sample provided was exceptionally flavorful.
In terms of spice level, it had an above-medium intensity, accompanied by subtle sweet notes, possibly from the Vatana. You could imagine the taste of eating Pohe with Tarri. Yup, that type of sweetness. For those seeking an extra kick, you can request the Spicy Tarri. Both Bread Slice and Pav are served here.
I think the reason people were complaining about extra charges and rude behaviour of staff was mainly because of the waste of food. If you are willing to eat more without wasting anything, it is truly unlimited for the same price (100Rs)
You can visit this place without any second thoughts, like I did. It truly lives up...
Read moreOne of the best place to eat Misal. There are many more ingredients present in Misal compare to Misal of other places. Ramnath have a tradition to serve sandwich bread slices instead of Pav.
Three types of Misal you get here in level of hotness. Hot, medium and sweet one. Earlier hot misal used to be really hot, but not they have reduced the intensity of hotness, may be most of the crowd don't prefer to eat too hot Misal. But recently when I visited this place again and ordered Hot misal, it was damn oily. The oil really didn't made the Misal hot, but only more oily.
But in the case of medium spicy Misal, it is hard to beat Ramnath. You can have the cold buttermilk to cool down your tongue. There are also many other menus you can order at Ramnath.
Size of potato Vada will suprise you, it's really big. Service is fast. Since located on crowdy street of Tilak road, most of the time you will find this place not empty. Ambiance isn't at all impressive, but in my opinion, Ramnath is very old hotel which fully meet the expectation of eating tasty Misal. Every Misal lover should visit...
Read morePeeps who are from Maharashtra and brought up in central Mumbai suburbs to be precise will hunt for quick snacking when settled outside Maharashtra and visit Maharashtra for pleasure or business. I am one of the soul brought up in Central Mumbai suburbs settled in Bangalore for over a decade yet crave for Maharashtrian snacks all the time. I am sure there are plenty like me who will share same sentiments if u know what i mean. The best Misal i ate in recent times was Phadatare Misal in Kolhapur itself spicy as hell yet u will enjoy and it will activate your taste buds and very recently in Ramnath, Pune just few days back.eat this misal with butter milk along to avoid rockets coming out when you do your job early next morning. What i liked about this place is these guys r not typical lazy Punekaar eatery owners and are open until late evening. All other popular misal joints were closed by evening that too on a weekday. Lastly I enjoyed this Kolhapuri misal at Pune and will cherish until i...
