The Mills is one the happening places in town and I recently happened to visit The Millers Homebar which is one the restaurants at The Mills. Millers which has an indoor as well as an outdoor seating arrangement is inspired by each member of the Millers family. The interiors are cosy and bright whereas the outdoor seating is contemporary. Coming to the food, we relished an array of delicacies & had a great time. Keep Reading to know more...
DRINKS: We had House star Martini, Mellow Drama, Thymeless Sour & Watermelon Cooler. Of which House Star Martini & Thyme less sour were my favourite.
SALADS: •Watermelon Feta Salad Never thought salads would look so visually appealing. But this did not just look good, but tasted good too. The ingredients were fresh and the dressing was tasty too. One thing I loved was that the feta cheese was super fresh and the greens were not bitter (unlike the one's I have experienced in other places) #Recommended
SIDES •House nachos bowl I really like how they had not opted for the regular (doritos)nachos and had their in-house nacho bowl which was filled with red and yellow bell peppers, olives, lettuce, tomato salsa and cheese. Another thing I liked was that the nachos were crunchy till the end. #Recommended
STARTERS •Lotus Stem in Honey Chilli Sauce This was a winner for me. Perfect crisp with right sauce. Will definitely order it on my next visit. #Recommended
•Chicken Wings Spicy Chicken wings served with mayonnaise and veggies. The veggies we guess were only for visual representation as who eats veggies when you have a plate of delicious chicken wings. #Recommended
•Chicken Satay This was bit spicy but oh so good. Seasoned, skewered and grilled chicken was served with mint chutney & salad( lettuce, red and yellow bell peppers, red cabbage with dressing) #Recommended
FLATBREADS •Farmer's Flatbread & Pulled Chicken Flatbread The crust was thin, crunchy and the toppings were delicious. My favourite was pulled chicken. The chicken was super tender & juicy #Recommended
CONTINENTAL MAINS •Betki Grilled Fish Fish was grilled perfectly but somehow the orange sauce & cous cous did not please me much.
ORIENTAL MAIN COURSE •Chicken Khow Suey Khow suey has recently become one my favourite from the Asian cuisine. Creamy coconut curry with assortments of toppings served with noodles went really well with the noodles.
•Pindi Chole With Laccha Paratha Has a large portion of chole which can be enough for two which was served with papad & salad. Taste wise it was good but somewhat lacked the traditional flavour.
DESSERTS •Baked Cheesecake Well I wasn't much pleased by this one. The base was not crusty enough and overall not too appealing
•Chocolate Cigars With Vanilla Ice Cream What can go wrong with crunchy warm pastry rolls filled with chocolate combined with vanilla ice cream. Loved it #Recommended
We also got our hands on their in-house brewed craft beers - Coffee Irish Stout, Eve's Apple Cider & Morning Wit Beer. Of which I loved the Cider & Stout.
Like I said we had a fab time. The staff is courteous and would definitely be happy to help you. Looking forward...
Read moreThe Millers located at The Mills!! Coincidence??
This new place has all the buzz going around. Situated right at the heart of the city behind Sheraton Grand.
The Millers Homebar & Kitchen is the talk of the town these days and I decided to visit this place on a Saturday afternoon to check out the hype. They have both indoor and outdoor seating’s. The ambience is quite lit and give a very welcoming feel.
Let me start with the beverages:
By the Bay: This is by far the best mocktail I have had. It’s a mixture of Pineapple, orange, cranberry and lime juice with a hint of mint and passionfruit syrup. The presentation takes this drink to a next level. A must try for sure.
House Star Martini: It’s a vodka based martini with a mixer of very evident vanilla and a passion fruit. The booze quantity is what I call generous! After on drink I definitely felt a buzz in my head :P
Starters:
Karkari Rumali Roti: A huge rumali roti crisp fried, topped with tomato, herbs, chopped onions and loads of butter! It’s the best bar bit for sure!
Paprika Parmesan Vodka Prawns: Now that’s what I call a perfect appetizer. The prawns are perfectly cooked and poured with a nice bath of parmesan. The Vodka makes the flavor explode. Its served with 3 slices of garlic bread! This dish is heaven. I highly recommend this one!
Tandoori Makhani Broccoli: Yes, you heard that right! Its broccoli made in tandoor style. It’s different.. The smoky flavor does make this veggie taste better!
Soya Chaap Chilli: For all the Vegetarians. If you want to get a feel of chicken chilli, this dish is definitely for you! Its spicy, its tender, the greens sprinkled on top gives it a very fresh look!
Oriental Grilled Fish in Banana Leaves: WOW! That’s what I said when I had the first bite of this dish!.
A nice fillet of fish wrapped in a Banana leaf and then grilled. The herbs and flavors added are at some next level! The fish was very soft and had the apt amount of spices!
MAIN COURSE
Chicken Nasi Goreng: It’s a world famous Indonesian cuisine dish literally meaning Fried Rice! I had this dish in Bali few months ago, so I could relate the actual original flavor and I have to say…. The Chef nailed it! The flavor, the prawn crackers, the perfectly fried egg on top and the presentation. It was just like having it in Indonesia! PERFECT! That’s what I called it.. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this one. It’s made with love for sure!
Chicken Joojeh Kebab: Perfectly grilled chicken chunks served with some very aromatic and flavorful rice! The combination is quite unique and mouthwatering. The aroma is to die for!!
DESEERT
Chocolate Cigar with Vanilla Ice Cream: No meal is complete without a dessert. These chocolate cigars are just too good to be real.. The rolls have a very rich and creamy filling. Club it with the icecream served and that’s biss for you!
Overall the place is very nice and I am sure it must crowded at night.
My verdict!
Food: 5/5
Beverage: 4/5
Ambience: 4/5
Service: 5/5

Read moreUsually I never give negative reviews , but may be I have expected lot from Millers . Because of many factors I have missed for experiencing a good dinner .
Somehow I feel Millers is over hyped , I heard few recommendations in last month hence I have planned visit yesterday.
Location : Millers Located near Sharaton Grand , Pune Station at The Mills. Superb location , and amazing premises.
Dining : Dining experience is not so pleasant , unplanned guest sittings (they have surprisingly accommodated almost 15 + guests with kids on 10 people's capacity table at that was just next to our table) almost most of the places they have setup ed guest sittings with cluttered way . Which was so disappointing . Chairs were comfortable . I have got sofa for sitting which was a good experience but table was not so good . May be they are running on over capacity.
Music : Music was good but , but because of crowd I was not able to enjoy the same . Unfortunate.
Cutlery : Dishes and cutlery kept well, clean and properly taken care of. So full marks on this . They have specially designed cutlery and napkin box .
Hygine : This is unfortunate that I have found hair in my food dish which disappointed me as they take more time to serve food than average standard time . Never expected . Later waiter replaced my food dish with fresh one.
Food : Starter : Cheese popper : On recommendation I have ordered cheese popper which was a good choice . Those cheese balls were actually very tasty and up to mark.
Cheese Naan: A super good cheese Naan without any mistakes . Thank you for this.
Karari Roomali Roti : One of my favourite but they actually needs to improve flavouring and masala so it can add up perfect taste .
Mocktail : Cooler & by the bay : By the way was a great choice where cooler is still needs improvement .
Main course : Paneer Tikka Masala : Have requested for less spicy PTM but they have ignored instructions and got spicy one . Secondly portion was not satisfactory considering and comparing other similar restaurants and not enough for 2 . But presentation was good. At the end you look for good main course and they disappoint you. They offer very less amount of option in veg main course . So that is another pain point .
Dessert : Brownie with vanilla ice cream : Brownie was fresh , a perfect dessert for your taste buds . Good choice .
Service : Though they have good staff , they are not able to cater and understand orders, I feel so. Sometimes you have to ask them 2-3 times for the same thing. And if this happens again and again it irritates you. They were actually very alert but done know what's the issue. I felt they more over work like robots rather than working and catering good hospitality basics.
Overall as I have mentioned it has disappointed me on many levels . I will not recommend the Millers again and again . Unless you are ambience lovers you should go and explore the Millers for your...
