PizzaExpress — Restaurant in Pune

I have given less rating for the unprofessional and inexperienced staff. I have been to this outlet twice in last two weeks. Both times my server was Justin.

First time I order something and said please make it as quick as possible as I have a flight. Justin said it will be 20 minutes. I was ok with it. After 25 minutes I checked with Justin to find when my pizza will be ready. He went to the kitchen and came back saying your pizza order is not processed due to some system issue. But I will get it in 5-7 minutes now.

Second time today when I placed order to Justin I said please ensure my order is through to the kitchen. After 15-20 minutes Justin came back with the same story. My order didn’t go to kitchen. He was so careless and casual about his approach. He said I will get my manager. His manager named Micheal came to our table. Instead of expressing apologies Micheal straight away said “Sir, do you want the pizza?” I said yes if you can get it in 4-5 minutes. Micheal causally said it’s not possible and argued with us unnecessarily.

People like Micheal and Justin leave customers with pathetic dinning experience. I won’t go to this outlet again until Micheal and Justin are...

Pizza Express is located inside Aeromall in the food court. I have been a fan of their Pizzas but had not tried them since the new menu came out.

We started with Spicy Bruschetta which is their dough balls with jalepeno & mozzarella cheese finished with rocket & emilgrama. I found this to be just overpriced dough which is not even soft or fluffy. Taste was okay but not worth ₹275

Next we asked for Pizza suggestion & the waiter directly suggested the most expensive veg pizza on their menu and said it's recommended & comes in a square. We went ahead with it... Calabrese Veg Pizza. It was also loaded with Emilgrama cheese. The taste was okay... But nothing close to what you'd expect for ₹825 before tax.

The service was fast but you need to call the waiters otherwise they don't even check on you. Limited drink options... No beers even!

I came out unimpressed... Frankly speaking AirBar makes better pizzas. And the doughballs is a full scam 🤣

Maybe their other pizzas are better... Just don't ask for...

They greeted us with warm smiles and made sure everything was just right throughout the meal. Their hospitality added a personal touch that you don’t find everywhere. From the ambiance to the food to the service—everything was spot on.
