Roopali - After a long period of time , I felt like visiting the so called gem of FC ROAD pune … where people would definitely go out for Evening snacks and morning breakfasts. Even i have visited this place a lot of times in the past but this place use to be a lot more fun when they didn’t have their set of rules for the restaurant . Late in 2005 etc . I know that people already love this place a lot , but there are few people who find few things missed out in here but hesitate to mention them… so i will bring honest opinions for how i felt . Unfortunately , this time the experience was not good at all. Thought the food was as tasty as it use to be always . But the service was not adequate and upto the standards . The staff was not that welcoming . They were all in some or the other kind of hurry … like just running here and there all the time and not finding time to even get the menu card——— until it was being asked . Further, they didn’t have a tissue box over the table . The tables were not even cleaned properly and had stains (talking about hygiene).
3 things (RULES) that i didn’t like at all - -They have a ladies washroom , but its locked … and the waiters cant even get you the keys . Until you yourself go to the counter and ask for it . -They also have rule that if person are only going to order tea and coffee , they are not allowed to sit inside even if the premises are vacant . —Don’t sit at their premises or restaurant for a long time . Once your done eating , please move out .
They don’t even have a Parking space as such for the vehicles . People cant just go there to spend time , they can only visit if they just have to eat food .
Sorry , but i feel things things need to be improved … customers like being welcomes and served and treated good . Unfortunately , this was not what o felt like when i entered the place . Moreover had to face...
Read moreIt is one amongst the most go to restaurants in FC. I was here with my friends and though I didn't click any pictures (was too hungry, hehe) here's a detailed review about a few items that we tried. -Cheese masala dosa: It was good. It was quite thin and crisp. But aloo masala was less. -Rava masala dosa : I think all the dosa here are quite the same. Very thin and ekdam crisp. They give the same stuffing, less in quantity and also a little bland. The aloo stuffing could have been more delicious. -Cheese sandwich : like any regular cheese sandwich. Not grilled, basic and yum. -Puri bhaji : Comfort food so I had to order this. It was disappointing because I could see the same bhaji that they used as aloo stuffing in dosa and I like my bhaji to have spices, flavours but this came a little bland. Tomato onion uttapam: This was good. Nice, big pieces of tomato. Uttapam was thick yet perfectly cooked. Loved the texture.
For drinks we had: -Mosambi Juice: If you're thinking how someone can go wrong here; well they did. It wasn't up to the mark. -Cold Coffee: I liked how it had a strong taste of coffee and felt fresh but it was not thick enough. Maybe you like it that way but if you also enjoy THICK cold coffee then this can be disappointing. Mix Fruit Shake: This was delicious. You could taste different fruits in every sip and some granules of fruits as well. This is worth trying.
Overall: they have to work on hygiene. I know it's always crowded but you can't compromise on sanitation. Rest. It's a good place to try out different dishes at a...
