Wadeshwar Bhuvan is a very old resto and let me tell you all its a small restaurant located opposite Kelkar Museum, Bajirao Road and originally it was a building parking and parking turned into restaurant. This resto has absolutely no ambience....please go only if comfortable to sit on chairs attached to the tables, stringent resto timings and also to take a NO for an order. Please note the menu of this resto is very limited and different menu is available in the morning and in the night...eg : mornings idli chutney but no sambhar or dosa and chutney but the taste is absolutely fantastic and once you eat here you would always come here. In the evenings they serve Aloo Paratha and trust me the Paratha with the cucumber raita is lip smacking and is only available from 8pm onwards. Along with parathas they serve Plain Paratha with different vegetable , Dahi Vade, Green Peas Pulao , tomato soup...dats it...the menu is fixed and never changes and the same is applicable in the morning like south Indian snacks or Maharashtrian breakfast items and beverages. If new in Pune do try this resto but please go only in the given time and they also offer parcel services and now card payment system also they have recently started. Please note the resto and the waiters are Typical Puneri so don't be surprised for an extra smart answer but the taste neva disappoints you. Plus there are a lot of Wadeshwar hotel chains in Pune and they belong to the same owner and there the menu is widespread and delicious but the original taste always is the...
Read moreDuring a morning walk this Saturday, we found ourselves near the Ganpati Visarjan procession and decided to stop for a bite at Wadeshwar Bhuvan. It was the perfect spot to refuel and enjoy a hearty breakfast.
The place had a lively, bustling atmosphere, full of people enjoying their morning meals. We went all in on the breakfast, ordering a variety of dishes. The idlis were incredibly soft and fluffy, and the accompanying chutney was fresh and full of flavor. The dosa was perfectly crispy and not too oily, and the thalipeeth, a personal favorite, was authentic and delicious, with that distinct multigrain taste. To top it all off, the tea was just what we needed to feel refreshed.
Overall, Wadeshwar Bhuvan is a great spot for a substantial and traditional breakfast. The menu offers a good mix of South Indian and Maharashtrian specialties, and everything we tried was satisfying. If you're looking for a classic, no-frills place to have a filling breakfast in the area, especially during a festive time, Wadeshwar Bhuvan is a...
Read moreAfter reading all the positive reviews and hearing good things decided to visit it. But me and my family were actually disappointed as we had our hopes very high. The idli was purely made of rava that too the big rawa not the even the normal or medium size people use for idli. The rava idlis are fine but for me most of the time it lacks the fermented taste that only a Rice or Rice+Rava idli has when it is properly fermented and same thing happened here. People like the fact that the idli melts in the mouth but what's the use of it if it doesn't even taste like an actual idli. I have been eating rava+rice fermented idlis since my childhood and have eaten them at various south indian restaurants so i know how it tastes and that's why I was highly disappointed. Same thing happened with Onion uttapam, it was nice but overpriced. Overall avoid it if you know how an authentic idli tastes and dont want to waste your money. Also i didnt even like their chutney as it was bland and lacked...
