The restaurant is a good place to sit and have quick bites. As it's in heart of Pune, people like us who go for shopping in that area get a relaxed place to sit and rest our hunger. However there are a drawbacks which I found could be improved. There is no washroom in the hotel. The manager was nice to us for letting us use restroom of the society behind the restaurant; however having a restroom would be helpful and better. Menu is limited. There could be more additional items that could be added to the menu like Chat, Chinese, Upma etc. However the current menu seems well to choose. 😊 Taste is nominal. We ate Udid wada and Batata wada. Chutney tasted fine. Sambar was sweet, which we don't like personally. Finger chips were good to taste. However we did not like the taste of the hot beverages - Tea and Coffee. Overall, the restaurant is good to get a quick bite if you are tired of shopping on Laxmi and...
Read moreI've visited this place two times. On both occasions, it was a nice experience. We had south Indian dishes and hot beverages the first time and Kanda Bhaji and hot beverages again for the second time.
The food is average. But I found it very oily. The Kanda Bhaji were definitely below average.
The staff was attentive and courteous. I liked them. The place is hygienic and we'll maintained.
Food wise it is tad bit below average in this class, but the staff behaviour makes up for that difference making it a perfectly average place.
Not necessary to travel here for food but if you are shopping in the vicinity, a quick bite...
Read moreLove their thalipeeth! It's one of a kind and worth the wait. They don't even prepare the dough, it's freshly prepared and hence it takes time to serve. Even their batata wada is different from the commercial ones. Their solkadi quenches your soul!! It's yummy and refreshing in this summer season! Buttermilk works well with batata wada and solkadi with thalipeeth. So go with an open mind, it's a pretty old place and their cooking methods are also from the yonder years.
P. S:- every time I go to Pune, I make sure I eat at least once in my favourite places, this is just one of those places I don't...
