Read more"Ladies Night" ( A strategy for hotel industry to sustain and get good amount of crowd at their place)
Generally I refrain from writing reviews though this one sincerely urged me. Happened with one of my friend amongst our group who visited yesterday. I have earlier been to quite a few Ladies night events though never seen such pathetic rules and ill treatment for the Ladies;
The Bar tenders are rude here and have a ridiculous approach including the Manager( He claimed to be one - dint look like neither his approach was like a manager). They have some out of the box rule for some stupid strategy - The Ladies who come to party there will be given unlimited drinks only alcohol based no Mocktails but only in one glass. Every time the lady wants the repeated drink she is supposed to go and get the drink in the same glass. They will make you feel that you are drinking for free and what a big deal it is. Standing with your repeated glass like beggars.
My question here is your lounge your rules but why cant you put up the rules somewhere or genuinely inform the lady taking her first drink. The manager literally asked the lady to go and get her glass and only then he will pour the drink, like are you nuts no manners no audacity at all. Instead treated as a Favour. You call out the woman's saying its Ladies night they get you the business with their guy friends who come in plus not all ladies prefer free drinks so that's an add on tooo... We ourselves out of 5 only one opted for the free drink rest all chose to buy choice of drink isnt that a business.
There are 100s of lounges, clubs which offer Ladies night if you really want to compete in the market THIKANA needs to raise the standards in their etiquette, staff behavior and rules tooo. Rest All the bets to the ladies who opt to go there and feel pathetic while you get a free drink for your self. We aint...
Read moreVisited Thikana, Baner and found it a very happy and invigorating place, full of pep and zest. The ambience was very hip and inviting. Service was attentive and perfectly in place. In Mocktails, we ordered Jhakkas Margarita, Purple Shadow, Bloody Mary and Red Wine Sangria. All were very well-presented and perfect in alcohol quotient. Butter Garlic Prawns and Drunken Chicken as starters were very tasty and proportions were fit for 3-4 persons. Butter Chicken Bunny Chow was butter chicken served with buttered, roasted pav bread, a nice twist to the original dish. Green Chicken Thai Curry served with Rice was authentic. The rice had a hint of basil which added to the overall look and taste. Sizzling Brownie capped the good eating experience. Being a Saturday evening, the dance floor was reverberating with thumping dance music and the restaurant was a house full. The DJ sure knew how to keep the dance floor hot and happening with this choice of dance numbers. Good place for both youngsters out with friends and even a family outing. The seating arrangements, both inside and open outside is adequate. Bartenders were on their toes, churning out drink after drink meticulously, with a beautiful presentation to each. All in all, I loved the evening out at Thikana, Baner in every way. This place is very highly recommended for...
