Best Misal place in Pune. Period. Why would you believe me? Because it isn't Puneri but अस्सल Kolhapuri Misal. And being a proud Punekar who always takes Punyacha side for everything and someone who has tasted misal from Katakirr, Bedekar, Bhadait, etc. Zhakaas is clearly better, so so good! The sample is flavourful and not in your face spicy with good amount of sprouted matki. The tarri is top notch, spicy just as you want it and great flavour! And to top it all it is a Nikhari misal, they put ghee in a small vati inside and put charcoal on it and put the lid on. This ensures that the smoked ghee has fully infused in the farsan and when you finally pour the sample and tarri, it is heaven! Go for it. Very strong recommendation for the typical smoky Misal. My first experience with real Pune Misal paao and I am really happy that I had it at this place. The presentation of the food was really good. That smoky coal flavour was the main highlight of the food and I enjoyed each and every bite. You can adjust the spice level based on the Misal preparation and I would recommend the butter milk as an add on. The staff is really nice and friendly. One of the best places in Pune to eat Misal. Their Misal is full of flavour unlike some others which just taste either spicy of sweet. Their service is prompt too. They take all kinds of payment methods. Magicpin available too.

I have been there a couple of times over a year and I have experienced the same top quality food throughout the year. The place is not too big but if you there at the right time, it is easy to find a place. The staff is is nice too.
