I was in Amritsar between October 21 to 24. Visited McDonalds near the Golden temple.
Menu was mostly vegetarian.
On day one: the weather hot and humid. I ordered Coke Zero, Plain Sundae and glass of water. I requested cold Coke Zero but got room temperature one. So so satisfying.
On day two: I ordered their advertised int the windows breakfast. From POS to delivery on table took 14 minutes, even though the restaurant was empty, less staff at 8 am. This so called premium thingi was something new. The veggie burger premium muffin. The patty was made of potatoes and spinach, did not fit in to my tastes bud - it was bitter. I put some ketchup on it only to overwhelm to be too sweet. I requested hot coffee I got less than room temperature, same with the hash brown. Will not recommend this breakfast to anyone. No satisfying.
On third day: For breakfast I ordered coffee and two hash browns. This time the coffee was warm and hash brown a bit hot. These were international menu items. Satisfying.
This McDonald was the only one I came across who serve local menu breakfast from 4 am to 11 am.
Instead of so called Premium Muffin, McDonalds can hire local experts in Aloo Paratha, Mango Pickle or Cholay with Lassi, that would be a great breakfast. Consider to make interesting local menu instead of westernizing it. They charge so high price for a 30-40 gram potatoes. I choose not to have breakfast again.
I will not recommend anyone to have this so called breakfast at McDonalds. Bad and after taste in mouth and #1 waste of money.
This is not a Happy Place to be! The staff were not engaging with the customer type. To ask for water downstairs near the POS / kitchen area was met with being ignored, I just walked out.
Thank you for the once in a lifetime experience, never again. McDo, adios!

One of the standout features of McDonald's is its consistency in taste and quality. Whether you're in Amritsar or any other part of the world, you can expect the same familiar flavors and standards. From the iconic Big Mac to the crispy Chicken McNuggets, McDonald's menu provides comfort food that appeals to a wide range of palates.
The restaurant's ambiance is casual and family-friendly, making it a suitable spot for group outings or a quick bite. The staff is usually efficient and friendly, ensuring that orders are processed swiftly.
The affordability of McDonald's is another appealing aspect. The value meals and combo options make it accessible to various budgets.
However, like most fast-food chains, McDonald's offerings may not align with those seeking healthier or vegetarian options. While they have introduced some vegetarian and healthier choices over the years, it's primarily known for its signature burgers and fries.
In conclusion, McDonald's in Amritsar serves as a reliable option for a quick and satisfying meal, especially if you're in the mood for classic fast food. Its consistency, affordability, and convenience have made it a go-to choice for many...
Read moreIf you are a vegetarian like me, you'll love to be in this McD. Because so far this is the only Vegetarian McDonald's I've seen. Thanks to the Golden Temple, because of which this place served all veg. I visited this place just know how the Veg is promoted and for the all veg experience.
Service: It will be moderately crowded all the time. Yet we managed to get our order in time. Service desk is quick and friendly. Even the cleaning & supporting staffs on the first floor are co-operative.
Ambiance: they have well promoted the veggie menu all over the place. They have separate tray sheets which only talks about veg food. Seats are comfortable and scientifically placed to host all kinds of groups.
Food: Ordered McVeggie meal. The fries were crisp, patty of the burger was hot and the coke was cold. What else! It was perfect McD meal experience.
Everything Else: Since vehicles are not allowed to the street it's situated you need to walk a bit. Air conditioning was perfect for that hot weather. They accept both cash & cards but not Digi wallets.
I recommend seats next to the glass window on first floor which offers a great view of Jalian Wala Bagh Street.
Happy Vegetarian Experience...
