You can not miss this gem on your trip to Udaipur. This shop is super old & has been running for 150 years. And they don't even need any fame or popularity because "Naam hi kafi hai". We tried everything mentioned on their menu- Kachori, Samosa, Bread bada, Pakore & the most selling snack "open Samosa". Their potato filling is the star ingredient because you won't get that taste anywhere in Udaipur. They serve their snack with Kadhi and green Chutney. We also had tea tea with our snacks which was equally good. Even though Roop Ji's shop is a bit small but they manage it well & maintain the hygiene level to their best. The shop is very small, with space for hardly 5–6 people to sit at a time, and hygiene is a bit of a concern. It’s more of a quick street-side snack stop than a comfortable eatery.
Their most popular item, the “Masala Papad,” is actually nothing special — it’s basically a samosa or aloo masala served with khasta. You can try it once, but don’t go in with high expectations or you might be disappointed.
