I reached there at around 8 am on 26th Jan, after reading online that it has one of the best panoramic views of sunrise in Jaisslmer, and also noting that they serve breakfast. The view is indeed panoramic, but I was late to enjoy the full spectacle of the sunrise, and I knew that I was late. You should be there at the top terrace of the hotel restaurant half an hour before sunrise. Thats the time when the colurs in the sky at the horizon, start putting off their enchanting show. I had infact enjoyed this show at the Gadisar lake earliwr the same morning, and had come there for a breakfast. I ordered a cheese omellette with four slices of bread with honey lemon ginger tea. The omellette wad OK, but the tea was served in a glass and looked and tasted like hot lemon water. There was no taste of ginger in it. The person taking the order was a grumpy young man and I avoided complaining to him about the tea.
I would definitely recommed this place for the view, especially if you are into photography, specifically sunrise (no sunset view from here). If you are planning to reach there before sunrise, I would recommend you call them up a day earlier by the evening, just to check if they will be open at that time, and will serve breakfast that early.
And while, or after you have enjoyed the view, you can order something for your hungry stomach, if not for...
Read moreOur visit to Panorama Cafe inside Jaisalmer Fort turned out to be quite different from what we had anticipated. We originally expected a quick stop, but we didn’t realize that this cafe is not just inside the fort but located almost at the far end of it. This means reaching the cafe involves a significant amount of walking through the fort—something to keep in mind if you’re not already exploring the fort as part of your plans.
The views from the cafe are undoubtedly breathtaking, offering a unique perspective of Jaisalmer’s golden cityscape. However, the experience beyond the views was underwhelming. The service was extremely slow, with our order taking almost an hour to arrive, which dampened the overall experience. Additionally, the absence of a restroom was quite inconvenient, especially for a place located within a tourist-heavy site.
I would recommend visiting Panorama Cafe only as part of your fort exploration, not as a standalone stop. It’s a place to enjoy the views and the vibe, but don’t go expecting quick service or great amenities. The charm lies in its location and surroundings, but the practical aspects leave much...
Read moreIt's located in literally next to Bronze Canon. Super nice view and vive especially in the morning. We can have breakfast with facing rising sun. I arrived to train station early morning so randomly came to Bronze Canon and was just chiling. Then the restaurant man talked me like "Namaste. Masala tea?" and I had unexpected wonderful and calm chilling monents there. It was still 7am that I entered to cafe but according to the google map, it opens from 8am so I don't...
