No idea why this is rated so high, you can get the same view in a million other places. I arrived at 10am for breakfast, there was no one else there and cushions weren’t even out on the chairs even though they’d supposedly been open since 8am. 20mins after placing my order they came to tell me it wasn’t available (beans on toast) so to order something else. At this point I also ordered orange juice. My food eventually came and upon finishing it they told me they also didn’t have orange juice, why this took so long to relay I have no idea. Food was average at best, masala chai was terrible, it was basically milky water. Then when it came to payment they didn’t have change - and I wasn’t even paying in large bills, it came to 230 and I gave 250. Not the relaxing lake view breakfast I’d come for. It was like I’d walked into someone’s house and they played restaurant to keep up...

We went here for dinner, after walking up countless floors (which seem to never end) you find yourself on the top floor with arguably the best view in Udaipur. It is literally the highest building on the east side of the water. The food felt like it was cooked by your own Indian grandmother. She introduced herself and helped us with the menu explaining what things were and which dishes worked well together. It was very tasty and extremely well priced. Service was great and the atmosphere spot on. One thing I will say was that the food did take awhile to come but she warned us of this beforehand and we ordered a starter which which worked well with the timings. Would definitely...

Peacock Café is a hidden gem in Udaipur! I visited during my stay at Peacock Guest House and ended up coming back more than once. The ambience is peaceful and charming, with an amazing view of the lake that makes every meal feel special.

The food was fresh, flavorful, and reasonably priced, with a good mix of local and international options. The staff were warm and attentive, and the overall vibe was relaxed and perfect for a quiet breakfast or a cozy dinner.
