Delhi Feels Effingut: A Dive into Craft Beer Paradise in Saket
When I heard Effingut Brewpub had finally opened its doors in Saket, I knew I had to check it out. Tucked inside the MGF Metropolitan Mall, Effingut has long been celebrated for its vibrant beer culture and unmatched craft brews, and I couldn’t wait to experience its charm right here in Delhi.
The moment I stepped into Effingut, I was greeted by the lively buzz of conversation, the warm amber glow of the interiors, and the faint, enticing aroma of freshly brewed beer. The ambience felt like a perfect blend of contemporary chic and rustic charm, with cozy seating and vibrant wall art that seemed to echo the spirit of Delhi itself — dynamic, diverse, and full of life.
Craft Beer Galore Effingut is a haven for beer enthusiasts, offering a rotating menu of over 12 beer styles on tap. I started my journey with their signature cider, which was crisp, refreshing, and an absolute treat for the palate. Next up was a dark stout that delivered rich, roasted coffee notes and a velvety finish — a true masterpiece.
For those who enjoy experimenting, Effingut doesn’t disappoint. The staff recommended a flight of samplers, allowing me to explore their extensive lineup, from hoppy IPAs to malty ales. Each brew had its own distinct character, crafted with passion and precision. If there’s one thing Effingut gets right, it’s ensuring there’s a beer for every kind of drinker.
The Perfect Pairings As a self-proclaimed foodie, I couldn’t resist diving into their menu, which is designed to complement their brews. I started with their Beer Battered Prawns, a crispy delight that paired wonderfully with the cider. Next came the Smoked Chicken Pizza, topped with succulent chicken and a smoky barbecue sauce that played harmoniously with the stout.
Their Dilli 6 Chaat Platter added a fun, local twist to the experience, blending classic street food flavors with the upscale vibe of the brewpub. Each bite was a nostalgic nod to Delhi’s culinary heritage.
The Effingut Vibe Effingut isn’t just about great beer and food — it’s a vibe. The music was upbeat, the crowd energetic, and the staff attentive yet laid-back, making the entire experience feel seamless. Whether you’re here for a casual evening with friends, a post-work beer, or a lively event night, Effingut promises good times all around.
Why You Should Visit Effingut Brewpub in Saket is more than just a place to grab a drink; it’s a destination to immerse yourself in the art of craft brewing. The combination of inventive beers, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it an ideal spot for beer aficionados and novices alike.

Read moreI recently visited Effingut at MGF Metropolitan Mall in Saket and had quite a mixed experience. The place has a great vibe, perfect for casual hangouts with friends, and the ambiance really stands out. It's lively, yet comfortable enough to have a good time without feeling too crowded.
One of the highlights of my visit was trying their 10-beer taster. It’s a great option if you're someone who enjoys variety and experimenting with different brews. They offer a decent range, and it was fun trying each one, although not all were my cup of tea, but that's the beauty of a taster – there’s something for everyone.
As for the food, it was a bit of a mixed bag:
➡️ The Neapolitan Pizza was average. It wasn’t bad, but it didn’t stand out either. The crust was good, but the overall flavor could use a bit more punch.
➡️ Loaded Nachos could have been better if they were served with more flavours. They were really lacking flavours.
➡️ The Mix Sauce Pasta was ok-ok. It had a balance between creamy and tangy, but the seasoning felt a bit underwhelming. I was hoping for a more flavorful experience.
➡️ The Chilly Paneer was probably the best dish I tried. It was crispy, flavorful, and had the right amount of spice, making it the perfect bar snack to go with the beers.
➡️ The Crispy Corn was also quite good. Well-seasoned, crunchy, and not too oily, it made for a satisfying appetizer.
Overall, Effingut is a solid choice for its beer selection and ambiance. The food, while decent, could use a bit more consistency in flavor. That said, the Chilly Paneer and Crispy Corn are worth trying, and the beer experience is something you shouldn’t miss out on. I’ll likely return, but mostly for the beer...
Read moreI recently visited Effingut Brewery, and while the ambience and location were quite nice, my experience quickly soured due to poor service and rude staff.
The setting itself is pleasant, with a great atmosphere perfect for a casual outing or a night out with friends. The location is also quite convenient, making it easy to find and enjoy.
However, the service was a major letdown. The waiter was not only inattentive but also argumentative when I provided feedback. When I asked about my order, he casually mentioned, “I forgot.” Really? That's a pretty astonishing response, especially when you're running a brewery. The icing on the cake was when I asked for my beer to be served chilled — something I believe should be standard in any brewery — the waiter responded, "This is how we serve it." Well, if that’s how you serve beer, you’re clearly doing it wrong.
As a beer enthusiast (yes, a true bièreophile), I’ve had my fair share of brews from breweries across the country, and I can tell you the difference between a well-served beer and a barely-cold one. It's clear that Effingut needs to train their staff properly, as this level of incompetence and rudeness is unacceptable, especially in an establishment that prides itself on its beer.
In conclusion, while the ambiance and location are good, the lack of professionalism and poor service really dampened my experience. The brewery could do with some serious improvements in both customer service and staff training. Would I recommend it? Only if you're willing to overlook rude, disinterested staff and inconsistent...
