Neeraj Agarwal's The Sweet Shop — Restaurant in South Zone

This place is one of the oldest place serving Chaat and other Gujurati sweets. This place is not like before. The manager that evening was not in a good mood, and was always defensive for anything we asked. His tone and way of executing the order was very different and rude.

We wanted to sit together, since we were like 3 couples and kids. When we moved to another table, he said by 9 clock he will close the kitchen and after that no orders will be taken. But why does he have to keep telling us when we were changing the tables.

Plus, every table smelled bad, like milk. He wasn't washing the cloth he was wiping and he wiped all the tables with the same cloth. We were forced to not touch the table.

Coming to the order.

We had ordered for cheese pav bhaji, Green chutney Sandwich Bombay style bhelpuri Raj kachori Aloo parathas Paneer parathas Dahi papdi Chaat Aloo tikki Chaat. Rasmalai Kaju katli Chole puri

Among all of the items, everything was bad to worse. Raj kachori was very bad. The kachori was very stale and we's smell oil. Bhelpuri was too dry, and he had issues even passing me little chutney.

Aloo parathas and Paneer parathas were totally bland. Paneer had no masala or coriander and mint leaves chopped. It was just Paneer, stuffed in the parathas. It was first served with Channa masala, we asked him if he can give us curd as well. He got angry, came to our table, grabbed the plate and walked off to get curd.

Aloo tikka Chaat was bad too. We felt it was stale.

Chole puri was for the youngest member, and we specifically told him to bring that item first, and he said no one told me that. He got that the last after serving all the items.

Overall, extremely unsatisfied and disappointed dine...

Overpriced. Overrated. He said he doesn't take cards for less than 200 which is ridiculous. When we talked about the law these were the words he uttered(whoever he was at the counter), " the bank will charge us for that. And WE CAN'T PAY FOR YOUR LUXURY". Iam not making this up. And later he softened his tone saying that we don't charge GST in the bill. Which if I m not wrong is illegal. Folks think twice before venturing into this. I still believe the RS puram branch is fat better and really really good but this outlet at Gandhi park with whoever that guy is on the counter should be avoided...

I went there because a friend recommended that it would taste better here. The owner also claimed that his shop would taste better. But to my surprise, the Green Chutney was spoiled. We could see bubbles coming out. When we called the owner, he still stands his ground stating that probably we don't know the taste. He then says to send somebody again as they would be preparing the Chutney fresh again today afternoon. So I don't know when the Chutney I bought...
