Babal Da Punjabi Dabha! This place is a pretty old dabha which is been there in egmore, and as their name goes they serve the best punjabi cuisine as far as i have explored. My review is gonno be about the lookouts and must tries when you visit this place. Cheese Kulcha & Aloo Paratha with Kadai Chicken - The cheese kulcha's are worth dying for , the best of the chef's handiwork , and the aloo paratha's will make you so full to the brim and without the kadai chicken they would be nothing, the perfect punjabi styled gravy with mild spiciness and perfect flavour. Paneer Cheesy Tikka - if you are a cheese lover you should try this for sure, malai paneer tikka loaded with a blanket of melted cheese. A must try. Chicken Garlic kebab- this was kinda nice and different, only drawback was it was a bit too much marinated and not synced i felt, as the masala was breaking down and did not sync well with the chicken. I feel either there was a little flaw in the marination or in the cooking time. Masala Pepsi- when in a punjabi dabha you should never miss on their khatta masala drinks , the best after meal drinks. The ambience was good , the service can be a little faster i feel. Overall a best place for some aunthentic punjabi food. A must must try place. Read moreThe ambience of the hotel is definitely one of its highlights. The overall decor and atmosphere are very inviting and create a comfortable and pleasant environment for guests. Whether you're looking for a cozy spot to relax or a vibrant place to socialize, the hotel's ambience has got you covered.
The service at the hotel is also commendable. The staff are friendly, courteous, and go out of their way to ensure that guests feel welcome and comfortable. They are quick to respond to any requests and are always willing to provide helpful recommendations and advice.
The food taste at the hotel is another strong point. The dishes are expertly prepared, with a delicious blend of flavors that will satisfy even the most discerning palate. Whether you're in the mood for something sweet or savory, the menu has plenty of options to choose from.
However, the one area where the hotel could improve is in the preparation of sarso ka saag. While the dish was tasty, it didn't quite meet your expectations, and there is certainly room for improvement in this regard.
Overall, the hotel is definitely worth a visit, with its welcoming atmosphere, exceptional service, and delicious food. While there is always room for improvement, the hotel's many strengths make it a great choice for anyone looking for a relaxing and...
Read moreBabal da Punjabi Dhaba is an excellent place to try Punjabi food. The place is small but with a large heart. The atmosphere is not upto the mark but sure is a clean place. The staffs are ok and don't disturb us or push us for inflating the bill. The place is not cheap but menu pricing is reasonable. The interior needs a professional touch urgently.
Every customer comes here based on recommendations. Their food is almost top notch. We ordered Aalu Mutter and Panner vegetable curry both were excellent but the gravy almost tastes the same. The Naan and Rotis where fluffy and hot. We could easily polish off both the curries in a few minutes. I must say that they have not moved away from what the Dabhas have been doing. If one miss dabha food then this is the place to go.
The service is reasonably fast and efficient. We got our order within ten minutes and our second order also was equally fast. Though I did not try the non vegetarian. We got a bill of 800 odd and it was bang for the buck I paid. I can say for sure that it would be excellent. Let me assure you guys that this place is...
