Chennai Rawther Restaurant — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

I visited the restaurant around 6.45 (it was too early to have dinner). We were the first at that time. As soon entering the hand was area, there were lot of mosquitoes flying around. The hand wash area itself unclean and there was somebody cleaning the toilet. Kitchen is also interconnected to the was area.

1.We settled in a table and noticed the mosquitoes inside the AC dining area as well (probably coming from the wash area). AC went was throwing some steam from the vent.

There was a supervisor who didn't attend us near the table but busy talking on phone. I had to interrupt and order the food. He passed the order to a guy and continued talking on phone.

The ordered food was arrived and served by a person who was cleaning the toilet.

Food was ok. We were at the verge of finishing the food. The supervisor who brought the bill was just playing to my daughter (less than 3 yrs) by asking her to pay the bill. She didn't answer any thing because she was busy eating ice cream.

He again playfully said, if you (my daughter) don't pay the bill you have to clean plates at our hotel and he moved on. After hearing that I felt embarrassed but didn't ask him anything. I and my wife couldn't tolerate what he said. I called him and said that he shouldn't have spoken in such a way. He asked sorry and said he felt bad for saying that.

While paying the bill, I spoke to him that his behaviour was not good (he is aged person).

Before leaving the restaurant, we informed about that incident to the person at the entrence (may be a manager), he felt bad and assured that he will take necessary action on that guy.

This review is pertaining to the outlet opposite to the K4 police station Anna Nagar. I went there about 15 min prior to the closure on a locked-down Sunday night. Only pickup was allowed. I ordered a full barbeque chicken and 2 chicken fried rice. Cost me 760/- in all. The barbeque chicken was good. Mayonnaise was insufficient, I realised this after going home. I should have checked the same. Another packet carried some onion and cucumber slices and a ROTTEN lemon slice. I was disappointed about that. The fried rice was decent and the quantity good. The worst shock was when I observed a cat sitting inside the kitchen (pic attached) Check the tail extended out on the floor next to the foot of a person...

We were a gang of four and ordered the following: mutton biryani, chicken biryani, special mutton biryani (a fried rice version of biryani), dragon chicken, and pepper chicken. The biryani was decent. My only issue was the pepper chicken, which was ice cold inside; only the skin was warm, and the flesh near the bone was cold. I took one bite and knew it immediately. I asked them to cancel it, and they did. Apart from that, the portions were decent, but a bit too pricey in my opinion. The ambiance was sub-par. They could improve the food quality and quantity. Over all it's an average hotel but a bit too pricey for the quality...
