Dindigul Thalappakatti Restaurant — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

Right from the beginning, we happened to come across many things that were absent in comparison to a normal restaurant.

The AC wasn't working. I mean, one AC was working. But that's definitely not enough for the number of people present at that moment. When we asked about it, they said that we should sit where the AC is working and they can't do anything other than that.

The dinning area was not clean. It had dirty water stains on the wall right where one would lean and sit. The table were we sat was not wiped properly after someone sat and ate before.

When we were browsing through the menu and asking the waiter regarding its availability, he immediately shut us out with a rude tone "Irunga. Naan soldradha Kelunga" meaning - "Don't ask anything. Listen to what I'm saying". Very Rude.

We were served torn and old banana leaves. It was not covering the entire plate as well. You might think that I'm expecting a lot. But I've been to other Thalapakkati chains and few were really exceptional.

The Briyani that we ordered came with the waiters fingers dipped inside. He did not serve us with a tray. Instead he carried it on his hands with his fingers touching the dish. When we asked about it, he ignored us. The meat was not fresh either. It was rubbery and we had no option but to spit it out.

The sweet corn chicken soup tasted awful. It had NO TASTE AT ALL and I was not COVID positive when tested. Also, he himself started ordering another soup without asking our opinion. One thing that went in our way was they took back the soup and didn't charge us. I was afraid that we will be made to drink it forcefully.

We didn't spend time in taking photos because we wanted to leave the place at the earliest.

This is not that right franchise to get the Thalapakkati experience. You will not even get a standard restaurant experience here. I strongly recommend that you eat in the nearby restaurant like...

I felt like eating Biryani this evening. My bad luck. Though there are around forty eateries in GST Road Chrompet I went to Dindigul Thalappakatti Chrompet branch. From the moment I entered till I washed my hands in frustration, there were six employees in the first floor and I was the only one customer.

I ordered plain biryani. After ten minutes a server brought Plain Biriyani, without any sides like Raitha or Gravy.

I waited for a while and asked one lady employee about raitha. After some time a small cup of raitha and gravy were kept in front of me.

Raitha was sufficient only for a small portion of biryani.

Now someone , may be a captain or like that, came and asked my phone number.

I asked him what they are going to do with phone number when they have not given raitha to finish eating.

He directed someone to bring raitha. My hunger was eating me and I waited. After some more time I could not bear it and so washed my hand and waited for bill.

Now two persons came to me and started pleading with me. I asked them to bring bill so that I can pay and leave.

They refused to give bill, though I could see the bill in the hand of one of them. So I kept ₹ 500.00 on my plate itself and left.

What else to say?

Update. Even an illiterate will understand what I have mentioned above and what my concern is. Now the eatery has insulted me again with their reply which asks me to send them a mail. If I run the resturant, I will conduct an enquiry with the staff, check CC TV recording to verify correctness of my review, take appropriate action on the person responsible and then post my actions as my reply to the...

Really I had very wrost experience at March 24... Service was really wrost they came very late to take order and then food taste is really wrost I have tried thalapakatti in UAE , madurai and few other branches in chennai .. quality was so good but here chicken was so hard and service is really bad .. I asked just ice cube for my masala cola (while started to eat) to one person he said other person and then I finished eating after 30 mins still ice cube didn't came in middle I reminded them he asked till u didn't get it and told to wait still I didn't get after I asked who took order for me for cubes and he took my masala cola and brought cubes .. after sometime the person came who I asked cube for two times and said sorry no ice cubes and I said I got it .. and billing time was very wrost they gave bill I said gpay they brought scanner and I paid and who gave bill was not in upstair where we ate ... I waited sometime then I showed it to other person who took order and left the place .. bill was 1024 I paid 1100 including tip for no reason .. I got call regarding bill send screenshot (little offended while he asked after screenshot he asked sorry so it's okay) and all its all okay but pls improve quality ...
