A. Major short comings to the Most crowded and happening place.:- 1.The EMU stair case gets, crowded every time EMU train reaches the station. The rush in staircase during the peak hours is very disgusting. 3.The overhead crossing caters for people crossing the GST road and moving towards the Eastern Chrompet which increases the crowd during the peak hours. 4.The ticket counters are not adequate. The queue extends to the staircase everyday, causing inconvenience to those who are not buying rail tickets, but are using the crossing or the stair case. Being an important road rail link, people transit from bus to train in large numbers from the numerous localities surrounding Chrompet. Rush anywhere is haven for miscreants. The young girls proceeding to the colleges and schools and elderly people suffer due to the above.
B.There is an urgent need for the following:-
1.On the western side, ONE more platform is required, as done in Mambalam, Park. This would ease the ever increasing crowd going to GST road bus stops, areas in &near chrompet west, shopping places, theatres. On the eastern side, the overhead crossing leading to platform 3&4, can b extended to land and connect to platform 1&2 also, as there is adequate place for it. This would reduce the crowd in the staircase existing now, and would cater for only those moving to the station platforms from the predominantly large number of residents on the eastern side as well as educational institutions. This would also help moving with bags, by reducing distances. 3.Provide one more set of ticketing counters,on the eastern side, by extending the overhead space in the area where the pathway turns to platform 3&4, from the main overhead walkway. This would divide the people waiting to buy tickets, there by the blocks along the overhead walk way due to the long queues can be eliminated. With so much of development in around Chrompet station, there is no RPF post in the Most happening and developing railway station. May we request the railway authorities to look into these aspects and implement the well meaning...
