It was not the same what this restaurant meant 3 to 4 years back, Very disappointed by the service. I kind of frequently went to this chain of restaurant I used to give them suggestions but no one cared very simple things like pouring water when customer comes for dine in , providing starters first before main dish, Even thought people are free they don't come to take orders unless you call them, people come to dine in instead of order inn to experience few perks of dine inn and here everything was Missing. Biriyani was very cold.
I ordered pepper chicken but honestly what they gave was some soya sauce based chilli chicken and in menu they mentioned it will be spicy and while tasting it was vey sweet, also they provided starters after our main course was almost completed.
As I mentioned earlier the biriyani was cold , ordered Chicken 65 biriyani and veg Biryani, the ghee in veg Biryani almost flavoured differently due to the coldness. And the 65 pieces was very hard.
At the end I was completely disappointed think how it was before, this kind of act might back fire the brand name.
This experience is not only with thoraipakkam branch but when went to Perungudi branch they said only 5 to 8 dishes available choose from that. So the menu card was a fact item there. The irctc branch in Chennai Central lacks hygiene and taste.
There are several restaurants near I don't want to mention names in public which serves complete south indian starters and Jiraga samba rice biriyani in a way people loves it and how it used to be in DT 4 to 5 years back.
The price here is also something that people with low budget can afford , A good taste starter will cost you ₹300. And a better biriyani cost ₹250 to ₹350. For the same cost there are serious competition out there not sure DT realise that or not.
In this review iam not expecting any apology or a warm welcome only to me or fight from your side trying to prove that iam wrong, this is a review how DT is kind of destroying itself. In tamil there is a line saying "Valnthu ketta Jaminthar" I don't want DT to...
Read moreRestaurant is one among the many outlet under the Dindigul Thalapakatti restaurant outlets. The ambience is as similar and authentic to the rest of the outlets. It is a highly recommended place and so is its famous Chicken Biriyaani. I was in Chennai and thought of eating from here as I had a pleasant experience in one of the outlets in Bangalore. I was expecting a queue, as I had to wait for about 20 minutes for having Lunch back in Bangalore. But here, this was place was quite huge and there was ample spacing and car parking available as well. It was neat, clean and tidy. But the management could be better as the waiters seemed to have their own time of attending the customers. I was also disappointed with the fact that they were making loud noises while talking to each other and disrupting the ambience there. The food and the taste was top notch and also the cutleries were authentic as well.
They do accept payments through card, cash and wallets as well. Delivery is also available through most of the delivery apps as well. I would highly recommend this place for a taste of the great Biriayani that they are quite famous for. The biriyaanis are well priced but I would not say the same about the rest of the items though which are quite on the hefty side, but then, when you walk out this place, you do feel...
Read moreI have visited this branch several times, but today’s experience was extremely disappointing. After waiting for nearly 20 minutes, two customers who arrived after us were seated first. We had to repeatedly call the manager to be seated, and his response was that he couldn't control the crowd—an excuse that seemed completely unacceptable.
After waiting another 10 minutes, no one took our order, so we had to call to place it ourselves. The manager came over and explained that the crowd was too large, making it difficult to take orders. We decided to wait a little longer, but just as we were about to give our order, the manager informed us that only Chinese food was available because the Biryani and South Indian dishes were out.
This was a huge letdown, as we didn’t expect such service from this branch. When we asked about other chicken dishes, the manager said it would take another 15 minutes to prepare them as the rice was still cooking. The lack of management skills disrupted our lunch and wasted our time.
How can a restaurant operate without anticipating and managing the crowd effectively? After waiting for 45 minutes with no resolution, this will unfortunately be our last visit. Some customers who were seated after us even left once they learned the Biryani was...
