Anjappar Chettinad Restaurant — Restaurant in Zone 15 Sholinganallur

We recently visited your hotel for lunch as a group of four, and unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. We were seated in a cramped dining area where food was served on banana leaves directly on the table, leaving very little space - especially since we had ordered 4 to 5 different dishes.

Due to the congested setup, food even spilled onto our sarees and shirts, which was extremely uncomfortable and inconvenient. We politely requested to be moved to a larger empty table nearby, but the server rudely refused and told us to “adjust,” insisting that the table was reserved for other customers. However, no one came to occupy that table during our entire 20–30 minute meal.

It’s disappointing to see such a lack of concern for customer comfort and service. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend or prefer visiting this...

We had a fantastic dining experience at Anjappar Chettinad! From the moment I walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere set the tone for an enjoyable meal. The staff was incredibly attentive, offering excellent service throughout our visit.

The food was outstanding, with authentic Chettinad flavors that were rich and perfectly spiced. I particularly loved the starters Mutton Chukka, Prawn fry, and Vanjaram, it was cooked to perfection with the right balance of heat and flavor. The menu offers a great variety of dishes, catering to both vegetarians and non-vegetarians, ensuring everyone has something to enjoy.

Worst place that i ever been. We went out for lunch (keeping our expectations high based on its so called brand name 'Anjappar'). But really had an bad experience. Starting from soup till the maincourse everything sucks here. We ordered Vanjaram fish for starter which was actually stale. We returned back that. Other starters like prawn fry, pepper chicken, fish 65 everything is ordinary. Taste is par low. Coming to the maincourse, it was okay (we ordered biriyani). Ambience is very bad. There is no perfection with the hotel staffs. We didn't order deserts, based on our worst experience. They itself provided us ice cream as complementary.
