I hope this message finds you well. I would like to share my recent experiences at your restaurant, both positive and concerning aspects. Firstly, I must express my appreciation for the excellent service and delightful ambiance during my visit today. The overall dining experience was commendable, and the food, in general, was quite satisfying. However, I wanted to bring to your attention a matter of concern. A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of trying what I consider to be one of the best biriyanis I've ever had. This positive experience led me to visit your restaurant twice more, expecting to enjoy the same exceptional taste. Unfortunately, on subsequent visits, I noticed a significant variation in the biriyani's flavor. While the initial serving resembled a perfect Muslim biriyani, subsequent visits presented a taste akin to Hyderabadi-style biriyani, which was comparatively average. Moreover, today's experience, which involved ordering items for takeaway, was marred by an unexpected discovery. While enjoying the parotta, I encountered a long human hair visibly sticking between the layers (attached are the photos for reference). I understand that accidents can happen, and this may not have been intentional. However, I believe it's crucial to bring this to your attention to ensure such incidents are minimized in the future. I remain a fan of your restaurant, and I believe these issues could be addressed to maintain the high standards I have come to associate with your establishment. I trust that you will take this feedback constructively, and I look forward to continuing to enjoy the quality dining experience your restaurant...
Read moreNever wanted to go again to this restaurant! I came with two of my friends on Sunday Lunch. I shared the table with another customer as the venue was already crowded. The waiter who attended us wasn't welcoming and he was like "tell me, I need to go" mindset.
I appreciate the food's taste and quantity with serving of water until we asked for. During my dine, I saw other waiters at other tables serving food to the customers. Also I noticed, there are few tables where they offered finger bowl for handwash.
Once we had our lunch, we asked for bill and did the payment. During that time, I asked for finger bowl and more water to drink. Guess what? They never turned back. We waited for 10 mins and saw no one coming even to give us some water after meal. We did handwash and went out.
To this Anjappar venue admins, Do you see any partiality between Customers? Why you are caring particular customers in table who looks like more influential or with more crowd? Do you see us with low influence and leaving us unattended? And the waiter is not Tamil, also the server boy is not Tamil. I am not racist here but I saw other Tamil Waiters took good care of the table where our waiter didn't turned back after first list!
Thank you for the experience which I never expected from Anjappar! Others can surely visit the venue if you have...
Read moreVisited on a Saturday afternoon and was surprised to see the place relatively empty. At the entrance, they display an elaborate menu promising a wide range of dishes, especially seafood. However, once seated, we were informed that none of the seafood items were available due to "fishing restrictions" for the next two months. This was quite surprising, considering many smaller restaurants in Chennai still manage to serve seafood without issue. It felt more like an excuse than a genuine reason.
We then tried ordering other dishes from the menu, but were met with repeated responses of "not available" for most of them. It was quite frustrating to see such a large menu with so little actually offered. We eventually settled for mutton and chicken biriyani. The biriyani was average at best—nothing special in taste or presentation.
The waiter also suggested a chicken leg deep fry, claiming kids would enjoy it. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a disaster—over-fried, extremely oily, and with a bitter taste that made it inedible.
Overall, it was a disappointing experience. A restaurant that boasts a large menu but fails to serve even 30% of it, and serves below-average food with poor recommendations, does not deserve a second visit. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a satisfying meal or reliable...
