Hot Chips Veg Restaurant — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

Poor Service !!! poor Quality!!! First time in my life i came out from a hotel with hungry after waiting for ONE HOUR !!!!!!!

The name "Hot Chips"attracted and I move towards that hotel .I choose AC Dining hall. It was a Friday i enter the Hotel by 8.50 I got seated and order @ 9 Pm We are Just four member and a kid.

I asked for chola Puri waiter said there is no chola puri I asked for Masala Dosai he said no masala dosai. I asked Mushroom dishes he said no mushroom dishes available. Think i Order at the Prime time Friday 9 PM these are the basic menu which is not available.

Finally we decided go with One Paneer manchurian One parotta One gee roast ,one chapathi one onion Rava and one Onion Uthappam (FOR MY KID) . It is Quite normal menu . I requested Waiter that can you quickly server the onion uthappam for my kid? he said it will take 15 mins i accepted there preparation time.

Till 9.30 PM NONE of the ordered menu was served to my table after a moving up and down first floor and ground I catch the manager @ 9.36 and compliment about the my order. Boss quickly serve the onion uthappam for my kid . After waiting 35 mins i am requesting the manager make the onion uthappam fast. But the time i got the Onion uthappam was 10 Pm Imagine ordered @ 9 Pm delivered after 1 hour that too in a worst quality. I ordered for onion Rava dasai what came was Rava Dosai No chutney !!!! Salt is more in the Rava Dosa I SCARED to change the Rava Dosa bcz it make take another 40 mins to come. so I eat one of the WORST Rava dosa in my life. and @ 9.55 Pm after 55 mins of waiting, waiter said starter will take time so i canceled the starter.

Apart from this none of them from Waiter to the Manager have the courtesy to say the word "Sorry"

Couple of times i was here and tried both tiffen and lunch dishes.

Breakfast : Ordered one plate of idly and poori with Vadai. Both the items was just amazing. Poori is so soft to eat and the side dish which provide for poori is Potato masala and White peas masala. the peas masala gravy is so amazing even my mom loved the taste here.

Must Try Breakfast : Idly , Poori , onion uthapam and Pongal with Vadai.

Lunch : Here lunch is average only and its always heavy crowded because of T nagar shopping people. This Hot chips is next street to the busy shopping area (Rmkv, pothys, saravana stores and Nalli) highly recommend to have good veg food immediately after shopping.

Must Try Lunch : Sambhar and meals

Pros : Breakfast is good Lunch is average Love to have a coffee Crispy Vadai

Cons: Huge crowd Cost is little high Service is too slow Kitchen is looking bad Sometimes you feel un-hygenic food because of kitchen

I went here yesterday because I was in deep hunger and badly wanted a coffee. After i reached there, I was tempted to also get a pav bhaji. That turned out to be the horrible mistake. Ignoring the pathetic taste of the food, it was so unhealthy. Just an hour after we had this, we started getting uncomfortable and got the rest of the day ruined badly. It ended up with a bad stomach, vomit, diarrhoea, headache for all of us.

I generally visit a number of roadside shops and been at a number of apparently unhygienic shops and have not run into these kinda problems. For how good hot chips used to be years ago, this is very unexpected and pathetic. You can trust them less than you'd trust a roadside vendor with visible...
