Speciality:
I recently had the pleasure of visiting this charming establishment with my in-laws, and while our experience had its ups and downs, there were certainly highlights worth sharing.
Upon entering, the ambiance of the place set the stage for what we hoped would be a delightful dining experience. The decor and atmosphere were inviting, creating a warm and welcoming vibe.
The food, for the most part, was quite good. We couldn't resist indulging in a variety of delectable dishes, and the diverse selection of idlies was a real treat for our taste buds. They were prepared to perfection, and we relished every bite. However, there were a couple of instances where we felt that the menu prices didn't quite match the value delivered.
Our servers, while polite, occasionally encouraged us to opt for some of the more expensive items, labeling them as "special dishes." Unfortunately, in our opinion, these dishes turned out to be fairly ordinary, leaving us with a feeling of slight disappointment. We encountered a situation with the Rava dosa, where the server added the term 'onion' to it, resulting in an additional fifty rupees on our bill, which wasn't what we had anticipated.
Furthermore, there was an issue with the pricing of the paniaram. Our server initially informed us that it was priced at 45 rupees, but to our surprise, it appeared as 68 rupees on the final bill. When we inquired about the discrepancy, the server seemed uncertain about the exact prices, which left us feeling somewhat frustrated. This kind of misunderstanding and miscommunication should certainly be addressed by the management.
One aspect that stood out to us was the portion size of the paniaram. We received only three pieces, which we felt were not worth the premium price charged. It would have been more reasonable to align the cost with the quantity and quality...
Read moreReview a South Indian restaurant I recently visited a South Indian restaurant called MIS, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of the food. The restaurant is located in a busy street, but it has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are friendly and attentive, and they explain the dishes well. The menu offers a range of South Indian specialties, such as dosas, idlis, vadas, uttapams, and curries. I ordered a masala dosa, which is a thin rice crepe stuffed with spiced potatoes and onions, served with coconut chutney and sambar. The dosa was crispy and flavorful, and the filling was generous and satisfying. The chutney and sambar added a nice contrast of sweetness and tanginess to the dish. My friend ordered an onion uttapam, which is a thick rice pancake topped with chopped onions, green chilies. The uttapam was soft and fluffy, and the toppings gave it a nice crunch and spice. It was also served with coconut chutney and sambar, which complemented it well. We also shared a vegetable korma, which is a creamy curry with mixed vegetables, cashews, raisins, and spices. The curry was rich and aromatic, and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. The korma went well with the plain basmati rice that came with it. For dessert, we had rava kesari, which is a semolina pudding flavored with cardamom, saffron, and nuts. The pudding was sweet and fragrant, and the nuts added some texture. It was a perfect way to end our meal. The restaurant offers authentic and delicious South Indian cuisine at reasonable prices. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves spicy and flavorful food. Situated in the prime location only challenge is...
