Had to settle for this restaurant just because it’s neater compared to other restaurants in t nagar locality , but later realized it was the worst decision . We were starving in hunger and this restaurant decided to not have anything we ask for , porotta not at this time , milkshake not available , chicken lollipop not available , falooda not available . Ugh we had no other go and had to get a chicken biryani and chili chicken . I don’t know if they washed the chicken well , it tasted so horrible like unclean meat . We had to give it away and the staff was trying to convince us it’s good meat which definitely was not . The onion and curd side dish for biryani had just milk in it and not curd . We just wanted to finish our food and get out of there when the lift messes up and decides not to work and I had to use the stairs . The management of this restaurant has definitely changed and it sucks now . Would not recommend anyone wanting good food in...
Read moreVisited this restaurant a couple of times for lunch while shopping in T.Nagar. I was a little skeptical given the approach to the restaurant where a small lift takes you to the third floor and the path is dimly lit. The place was pretty empty when I visited both times given it was after 3 pm. We had Briyani which was pretty decent and no complaints there. The non veg meals was also good but the quantity of rice could be more. We also had Schezwan fried rice, noodles and a few starters which were all tasty. But the quantity of starters need to be improved. You will not have any space to park your vehicles as it's on the main road. The spooky approach to the restaurant might put off some people but there isn't much that can be done there. If you're looking for a place to eat while shopping in T.Nagar, this place might just...

We ordered Mutton Briyani... But no service of Mutton Briyani...
So we ordered Plain briyani, the worst part is the raitha is too chill, directly served from freezer.... The gravy provided was too watery, simply to say water mixed with chilli powder, a small cup of Frozen raitha and a small cup of gravy is provided for two briyani(plain).
Without asking customer, directly serving water bottle in table (non branded), Eventhough RO water is ready to serve, they hesitate to do....
This is not my first visit, but after pandemic this is my first visit to Umar Kayam Restaurant, badly...
