SMOKE HUB BARBEQUE - T.NAGAR — Restaurant in Zone 10 Kodambakkam

The worst place to visit on a very serious note. Lacks hygiene and basic amenities. Service is horrible. People there are teasing and mocking customers. Very lazy to do their part. Rude and shows attitude while talking and serving. Not responding properly and understanding our needs. Even after multiple requests from our side to bring certain starters, it never came to the table. Only fruits were served all the time. For vegetarians, nothing is good. Paneer is hard like rubber, mushroom is not all served. All the potato starters are average. The only good dish was the crispy corn. For non-vegetarians, the meat is not cleaned and cooked properly. Tastes also okayish. The most important thing in a barbeque restaurent is the griller, which is not at all hot or working in a good condition. Nothing was barbequed properly. Even after changing the grillers, nothing seemed to have worked. Only in certain tables, it worked fine. The AC was not working and hence it was very humid and suffocating. The place stinks with a wierd smell. The live counters are again average. Main courses were non appealing and did not have any taste. Only noodles and curd rice was decent. This is not something someone expects in such restaurents. As I went with my colleagues, we were a team of 11 (all ladies). They took advantage of the situation and treated us without understanding our basic needs. Desserts was the least thing to expect, nothing was fresh or tasty. Everything felt old and was over by the time we went for our turn. When asked to refill them, the person noded to us but just went by telling to his colleague "why should I do it"? Horrible and disguisting in every possible way. I have never been this disappointed with any restaurent that I made sure to write this review so that people don't go and waste their money and time. The only thing that was running in our minds was to get out ASAP. The play area was filthy and unclean. I wonder how kids can play there. The environment felt very unsafe as waiters were whistling so loud at ladies. Such a shameful act.I would request the management to kindly take proper action against all this and do the needful. On the whole, A WORST...

This restaurant is near Panagal Park, T. Nagar. No parking place at all.

Utilizing crowd and their craziness they are trying to cheat and exploit the customers.

Service is very worst. Today being Sunday (08.12.24) All tables full. From the beginning Non-veg or Veg they serve very slowly. In each stick they put one or two pieces only. Grill oven also not much coal they put. Heat waves not at all coming. Just name shake they put grills in tables.

Not much starters also. Very few items only they are giving in both veg and Non-Veg.

Come to main course, here also only very countable items they serve. They are not filling the bowls immediately. So all customers waiting for their food.

Dosa counter is literally waste. Only one person is preparing in small space of stone. Wantedly delay supply. For each person he was taking 5 minutes to serve. Which means he serves only 20 persons in an hour.

Other cocktail and ice-cream counters are also waste.

Only 2 soups (veg 1 & Non-Veg 1), 1 veg biryani, 1 chicken biryani 3 each veg & Non-Veg gravies, Raitha and some salads are available in main course. They put only MAIDA Naan. When we asked many times for wheat tandoori Roti, they didn't served. When we complaints, then they told to serve after we closed the bills.

Servers must be instructed not to supply in QuickTime to consume much quantity.

Their aim is to cheat the customers as much as possible to exploit the poor public.

Rest Rooms are also not clean and hygienic. Presently approach way is also very worst condition. Drainage water are overflowing throughout the way. From the top terrace (floor) water ( we don't know which water) was fallen while entering. Hotel Manager is not interested and cared our complaints on the same.

Totally waste in going to that T....

I visited Smoke Hub BBQ on Friday, Oct 25, with my family, and I must say, it was a very disappointing experience.

Parking Issues The car parking area was crowded with bikes, leaving hardly any room for cars. After finally managing to park, we discovered the restaurant was on the 4th floor. When we tried to use the lift, it was out of service, and we had to climb four floors through a dimly lit, partially flooded stairwell. It was incredibly unsafe and poorly maintained.

Ambiance and Atmosphere Upon finally reaching the restaurant, the indoor atmosphere was stifling, hot, and uncomfortable. It was neither ventilated properly nor pleasant to stay in, especially for a dining setting.

Food Quality and Service The service was painfully slow, and the food quality was far below average. In the buffet, options were shockingly limited to just plain biryani and plain fried rice. Desserts and other items didn’t appear fresh and had an off-putting smell.

Play Area Condition The play area was a major disappointment. It was filthy and clearly neglected, making it unsuitable and unsafe for children. My three-year-old wanted to play, but seeing the state of the area, we quickly reconsidered.

Departure and Security Issues When we returned to the parking area, we found our car completely surrounded by parked bikes, making it impossible to leave. The security guard I reached out to was indifferent and refused to help, so I spent over an hour moving the bikes myself to get enough space for my car.

Overall, I would strongly advise against visiting this place with family, friends, or anyone for that matter. The atmosphere, service, and general maintenance were all well below acceptable standards. Save yourself the frustration and find a better dining...
