Hotel Topsee — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

One of the best restaurants in the city. 1)Food is very tasty. 2)Cost is really reasonable and affordable, as well. 3)Ambience is simple and superb. 4)Well suites for family/bachelor/office team/group dining. 5)Service is always good.

For the above mentioned five reasons, I am giving the restaurant a 5 star rating. This is one of the places where I hang out leisurely and relaxed for the past 15 years. This is since the time I entered Chennai.

They have a biryani called- Hyderabad Chicken Biryani and its taste has never changed since the fifteen years!! Only change was the cost:) where I had it for around INR 80 in the year 2005 and now in 2019 having it for INR 189. Not only this, almost all the items they have is yummy!!!

It's a mystery how this place is surviving inspite of so many better choices available in this locality. The food is downright horrible.We ordered Mutton fry and Kerala chicken fry -both were burnt with no flavour in the meat.The Golden Prawns fry we ordered was actually tiny shrimps cut into further tiny pieces and batter fried - resembling a Prawn pakoda,if you could call it that.The Biriyani was very mediocre and oily. As I said earlier,its a mystery how this place still survives.Maybe it's got a clientele that still gets drawn in by the fact that it's been there for long and might be a hidden gem(just like how we got fixed) Not a great place to have good food.

The quality of the food is not good, better you can eat food near street shop.. Only the look of the restaurant is good. In sweet cron soup there is no sweet, Mutton biriyani is like tomato rice, Taste of Hyderabad chicken is not good, Taste of the chettinad chicken is puli kolambu(Tamil), dragon chicken is like Normal fried chicken with onions and spring onions, Naan is better, Prawn biriyani is better, Chicken lollipop is ok...
