Read moreVisited Junior Kuppanna for lunch today. The food was good—both the quality and quantity were satisfying, though not as impressive as our last visit. However, this review isn't just about the food—it's about the dedicated servers.
Since we had only coffee for breakfast, we arrived a bit early and were seated on the ground floor. After placing our order, we noticed something concerning: the staff had to constantly climb stairs to bring leaves, dishes, toothpicks, and more. In the 30–40 minutes we were there, they went up and down over 20 times.
Now imagine this happening over an 8-hour shift.
Even if it’s just a single floor, repeated stair-climbing with trays, hot food, and dishes can severely impact their physical health over time. It’s genuinely painful to watch hardworking individuals doing this as part of their profession—especially knowing that excessive strain like this can lead to health issues such as joint pain, varicose veins, or even osteoporosis.
They are not machines—they are humans, giving their best for modest pay, often without much appreciation.
Also, this setup slightly delays service, which affects customers too.
I sincerely urge the management to reconsider this setup and find a more sustainable, staff-friendly solution—maybe install a dumbwaiter lift, reorganize the serving pattern, or have necessary items readily available on each floor. It’s a small change that could make a big difference to your hardworking staff and your...
Read moreYesterday we were in Anna Nagar 3rd Avenue Junior Kuppana. As always we ordered mutton biriyani which came late. we didn't pay much attention . At the beginning of our order we asked them to replace the appalam which had lot of burnt black food left over on it. Which was completely forgotten by them and got it at the end after our 4th reminder.
We asked for white rice and mutton curry. Kalaki, mutton fry etc.
We received the rice with 2 reminders and also they gave (girls were is chudidar was very difficult to figure out who is the staff).us some gravy in small kattori we thought that's the mutton curry and started eating searching for mutton piece. By then we lost our cool and called those girls and asked what's wrong . They said sorry and brought the kallaki (egg) it was not even cooked properly and came in a big plate. Huge disappointment. After finishing the white rice now we get the mutton gravy.
The water flow in washbasin reminded of water scarcity in Chennai. You need to spend mintues together to wash one hand.
When I checked with those lady staffs - the reply is Madam Staff leave!!!! Surprised to see a established brand like Junior Kuppana to give such a worst experience. I don't think any customer deserves such a worst service. We go to a restaurant to enjoy food with our people. But this was completely a disaster
Junior Kuppana need to seriously work on the service.
One good thing is we could get some good pictures in...
